Guest guest
SAI RAM !!! The TRUST accept donations in US Dollars or any other OPENLY traded International currency. They have accepted the funds via PERSONAL checks on any US bank. They do not need to be Bank checks. The trust has special arrangement with State Bank of India in Puttparthi to receive credit for personal checks as of the date of deposit once they clear through International channels. Please note that the TAX DEDUCTIBILITY IS ONLY FOR INCOMETAX PAYABLE IN INDIA. THIS DEDUCTIBILTY normally does extend outside of India unless donation is made through a qualified Charitable institution in your own country. Sudhir Patel 5325 Oak Bay Drive E. Guest guest
Sai Ram, I think you mean "This tax deductibility normally does NOT extend outside of India" I live in Canada, but I cannot get a tax deduction if I make a donation directly to the Trust in India. However, if I make a donation through my Centre, which is registered as a charitable organization, then the Centre will issue a valid receipt for my donation. The Centr can then donate the funds to the Trust in India. Guest guest
SAI RAM !!! You are absolutely correct. I sincerely apologise for my error. What was announced in Sanathana Sarathi does not apply to any kind of taxes outside of India. Thank you very much for picking up my error.
