Jai Sai Ram,

I felt very much blessed on reading this

article, it was like nectar. It took me a whole day to

go through this article.

I got answers to a couple of questions

here. I have been praying Swami to teach me the method

of Meditation as it is the way to god. Two meditation

methods were mentioned in the Q & A section at the end

of the article. Now the question is how we put them in

to practice.

As Swami says, we want too much information

but do not show any transformation. I got the

information now transformation is in question.

I would like to read this article again

and again to understand better and know more things

each time i read.

In this group, each one of us is in

different stage of Sadhana. I just started my sadhana

few months ago. As the bible mentions "Lost son" I was

a lost son of Swami. I knew him and I was very close

and was blessed in many ways. I have seen his

miracles. But due to some reason (shaking faith - i

feel ashamed to mention this) I was away from him for

some time. (though He always watches us).

Fortunately, I did parayana of Sri Guru

Charitra and as a result, I am union with Swami again.

Guru Charitra takes you to your true Guru.

Like Sri Shirdi Sai said, he will pull his devotees

any where from the world.

We are in Satsang through this group. The

starters should learn from the learned. It is always

easy to express or explain but very difficult to put

it in practice. I am praying Swami to bless me with

unshaking faith and continous growth in my Sadhana.

One might not follow from what they had read but by

sharing one can inspire or encourage others. I

hesitated to write all these as I just read these but

I haven't put a single point in to practice. How can

tell others, but later I thought I can inspire some

body though.

Here are some of my questions answered.

My Question :

we work for money, we invest and expect profit. Is it

right? As a spiritual sadhak, can we want money ?

Answer from article : people say, "Oh ! you can't

be spiritual and have money." That's nonsense ....

you know .... it's absolute nonsense. Which you

can't be is, completely worship money and be involved

in it.

You can have money, but do not run after money.

My Question :

We know that Swami is the God, then we should

be with him, why are we here? In olden days, munis

used to do tapas for thousands of years to see God. He

is available for us and we are still indulged in our

daily routines.

Answer :

.... do you want me to just go off into a cave

somewhere and do this meditation ?” And he said , "

In another period of history that would have been

correct ", he said ," but not now ", he said ,"I want

you in the world , I want you with these things , but

I don't want you to be attached to them , I want you

to stand next to them , but not be victimised by them

I want beacons of light in the world , the world must

be purified in this age .... this wonderful age that

we are blessed to have been born into .... because

the new age is upon us …. and I'll `speak more a

little about what Sai has told me about that shortly.

Be where you are but unattached.

My Question :

Why I have problems in life, why my life is like this

...?

Answer :

Oh ! what I terrible life I had surely had." ....

and on one occasion not long ago with Sai Baba ....

and I must say that this occasion changed my life

..... I asked him .... or rather during a situation

together .... he turned to me and said ," Tigrett ,

do you have any questions about anything which you

would like to know about .... I'll answer any

question ?". And I said , "Yes .... I would like to

know why I was born into a family with so much tragedy

and death and insanity and violence and .... and all

these things that went on for so many years .... went

on and on and on .... why was I born into a family

like this ?". And he smiled and looked at me and he

said ,"To soften your heart " ....and I can tell you

now that suddenly I realised that I had been blessed

to be born into that family .... and to have

experienced those experiences, because what little I

am today …. it has made me …. and God knows I have an

massive ego .... and if I hadn't had those

experiences ????? what I would be doing . It's

important for each of us to realise that cards that

we are dealt .... are given with great love and

compassion .... and it's simply your karma .... we

are ..as Baba has said so many many times before ,

Past is past .... the future is uncertain .... NOW

is the time .... you are making your future now

..... whatever you put out .... comes back to you

..... it's a very simple simple formula in the

spiritual world just as it's in the laws of physics .

Believe in karma. It is like echo. Whatever you did,

will come back to you, but in union with God, you

might not feel the pain. Swami once said, do not blame

me for your problems, they are the fruit from your

past actions. Soften your heart. The stone which gets

most beatings will shape in to a beautiful idol.

Some more Highlights from the article

," Where is God ?". And I said ,"Well he's in my

heart". He said ,"No". He said ," God is everywhere

..... it's like fish swimming through water .... the

water is above the fish , around the fish , below ,and

inside . You are fish swimming through God ."

"How do you get to God ?" .... and he said nothing

... he asked, " How do you get to God ?" and then he

turned to me, and he asked me again, " How you get to

God ?" .... and I just sort of sat back .... and he

winked at me and he said ,"Love all ,serve all ". It

really is what it's all about. There is no doubt

about it.

It is some what easy to control your words but very

very difficult to control your thoughts. Mind is

always thinking some thing. After reading about Russia

in this article, whenever a bad thought comes to my

mind, I feel like a black tar is forming on the top of

my head and I want to clean it with chanting Sai Ram

Sai Ram. We should feel a glowing circle on top of our

heads not black tar and this is possible with japa,

dhyana. Japa Dhyana bina ananda nahi.

Do not feel or try to feel special.

It's really the problem that mankind has suffered

from the beginning, and that's the feeling of being

special. this is the danger .... the danger in life

in general .... we have this amazing association of

mankind …. which it seems in today's world we are so

competitive with one another … wanting to beat the

other guy out .... wanting to be more powerful ...

have a stronger position.

it's been fantastic to practice looking beyond the

personality .... to really see God in everyone that

you meet. If you practice it .... (it's) just like

meditation .... and meditation is the way to God.

Let us pray Sai Ram to help us transform our selves

based on the information we get.

Jai Sai Ram!

Rajani.

Sai Ram Rajani,

Thanks for posting this wonderful talk.

I really enjoyed reading it. I think he gave this talk at a regional

retreat held in the Poconos. After this talk he also held a special session

for young adults.

Love,

Prabhakar

Your Issac Tigret's interview text was a glass of pure cool water to a traveller

in the hot desert of life. It satiated not only the thirst of the body, but,

also soothed the spirit and awakened it from slumber.

The two different types of meditations given by Issac at the end are the final

dessert to a yogic experience.

For freshers - who want to translate the most valuable information into action I

wd recommend you get hold of Swamis' DHYANA VAHINI - Here he will catch you by

the finger and lead you into Meditation - breaking all the myths that surround

us. And everything Swami say - He will support with His explanation which will

appeal to our scientific frame of minds. For example why do yogic aspirants

need to sit on a deer skin. To insulate the body. But the earth has no current.

Yes, but the body during meditation generates a positive divine charge - and if

the body is not insulated from earth this charge flows down back to earth. Now

is deer shin the only suitable insulator - no Swami says you could use a wooden

plank or anything else synthetic.

I suggest you get a copy of this book because you will have to cross refer at

times. This book is surely available on the internet - vahini.com or something

like this - you could take a print from here if the website does not object.

Once you have the basics of Meditation understood and learnt - you could adopt

the TREE MEDITATION or the INSTRUMENT OF SWAMI meditation. I am sure these will

work wonders on you.

Keep us informed as you progress from Information to Transformation.

Sai Ram - Be Happy
