Guest guest
Sai ram everyone, I kno somoene who is in kindergarten ...and he has to give a very brief speech on Right Conduct...so pls tell me if this is fine.....keep in mind....the sentences have to be very simple according to his level... Right Conduct Another word for Right Conduct is Dharma. Dharma is the basis of everything. Obey it and you are happy. We as children, have to respect and obey our parents, always speak the truth, in spare time... chant the name of God, never talk ill of others and never cause pain to others. As Baba says "Do unto others what you wish them to do unto you". This will lead one on to universal love and unity. Sai ram Rachita
Guest guest
Sai Ram, Not too sure what you mean whether the audience are kindergarten or for a person who works there..?? Anyway, I have found that Swami's teachings are most unique on the planet as they synthesise all paths and religions, and therefore I would use terms that can be easily understood by all. I personally would not use indian words, unless the audience is exclusively indian or if they have an inherent understanding of the language. This is just a personal choice. Ok, here is my somewhat vague understanding of "Dharma"... Right Conduct is a state of being that simply assumes itself when other human values are practiced. Right Conduct simply means to "Rightly Conduct" your life...By looking into one's self, one will only find that love, peace and non-violence are things that confer happiness to one and all, and therefore distinguishes them from animal qualities. Peace, love, non-violence are inherent qualities of the soul and can be easily intergrated in our personality/being with the help of two abilities that separate man and animal: Self-inquiry and the power of discrimination/discernment. When one has become totally true and honest with oneself, then one is automatically in perfect harmony with the above human values. Hence "Right-Conduct" is the term given for this mode of living...As confucious says: "There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way." hope this is brief enough!!...love & peace jools saibabanews, "rachitagoyal" <rachitagoyal> wrote: > Sai ram everyone, > > I kno somoene who is in kindergarten ...and he has to give a very > brief speech on Right Conduct...so pls tell me if this is > fine.....keep in mind....the sentences have to be very simple > according to his level... > > Right Conduct > > Another word for Right Conduct is Dharma. Guest guest
oops sorry rachita for the message i posted...i misread your post, i didnt know it was for a young kid! anyways what you have is good and simple, but would suggest baba's other 4 values in the speech as without these, dharma cannot exist!!! love & peace jools saibabanews, "rachitagoyal" <rachitagoyal> wrote: > Sai ram everyone, > > I kno somoene who is in kindergarten ...and he has to give a very > brief speech on Right Conduct...so pls tell me if this is > fine.....keep in mind....the sentences have to be very simple > according to his level... > > Right Conduct > > Another word for Right Conduct is Dharma. Guest guest
I would recommend asking the child what does he or she understand or think when you say Right Conduct. I am sure he or she has been taught in the SSE about that. So have the child say what he or she thinks the meaning of the value is. There is no need for Swami's quote if you have to tell her and the child has to memorize it. If the child knows it by heart and can put the value and the quote together. Then it would be ok. I am a Bal Vikas teacher. I hope it helps. sairamjay_98765467 wrote: Sai Ram,Not too sure what you mean whether the audience are kindergarten or for a person who works there..??
