Dear Lewin,

 

The Sage of Arunachala - Sri Ramana Maharishi's priod was 30th Dec. 1879 to 14th

April 1950 .

To my limited knowledge by 1950, Prashanthi Nilayam was being built and before

that Swamy was known to have travelled to few places only in Tamil Nadu, like

Karur, Trichy etc., And I beleive Sri Ramana Maharishi was not known to have

moved any where out of his Ashram in Thiruvannamalai. If both of them had met

before 1950, it would have been mentioned in Sri Kasthuri's SSS series - but I

didn't find any.

 

However, though we do not have any evidence of the physical togetherness of the

two Great Masters, I am certain that from a different plane of spirituality,

both could not have been far away from each other !

 

Incidentally, Swamy Karunyananda, who started his spiritual journey from Sri

Ramana Maharishi, and then serving Masters like Sri Malayala Swamy, Swamy

Sivananda in Rishikesh, had finally arrived at our Bhagawan's feet in 1958 and

after 40 years merged in HIS feet on 8th October 1997, the day of Dasara.
