A yanthra, or chakra, is a geometrical diagram used like an icon in meditation or worship of a deity. It is a potentised diagrammatic inscription of letters/words pertaining to that deity. The Sri Sai Yanthras shown below were created by Ghandikota V. Subba Rao. They are actually the same yanthra but in different languages. Sanskrit in roman letters Sanskrit Thelugu Ghandikota V. Subba Rao has written a little booklet titled "Saithree: Manthra, Yanthra, Thanthra", which discusses these Gaayathrees. The booklet is available in the Prashaanthi Books &; Publications Trust in Prashaanthi Nilayam. In his booklet "Saithree", Subba Rao explains that this yanthra came to him at early dawn on Monday, 11 October 1999, and that Sathya Sai Baba blessed it three times that same afternoon, after discussing its contents with Subba Rao.The booklet explains these manthras and their use in detail. I received the Sai Mahayantra from a ardent devotee who did a voluntary service in Puttaparthi. He has been there about 8- 10 times and too he is in India probably till June. Sai Mahayantra was sent to the group because it was different from the ones what were described in Ghandikota V. Subba Rao booklet titled "Saithree: Manthra, Yanthra, Thanthra." (This booklet is widely known and directions there have given put into practice by thousands of devotees. This booklet is as significant universal teaching towards enlightenment blessed by Swami. It is as one entity for devotees, who properly know not only Swami's Teaching but also Vedic wisdom and ancient scriptures). During the years I try to find the path to enlightenment through Swami's Teaching. Many materials I receive from Internet. I compare often Swami's advices and explanations with latest discoveries of modern science and I have found there many similarities. For me Swami is a spiritual-scientific leader of humanity. Swami has often stressed that there is nothing wrong in the arena of creation and unity has represented in infinite diverse forms. Divine Universal Love Principle is the cause of all manifestations and spread over them. About it has nicely written in the site http://www.eaisai.com/baba/docs/saithree_3.html. Some excerpts from it: "The Brahma Suuthra is the cosmic divine thread of love, the cause of all causes of all manifestations. Here, there is no logic chopping; only the intellectuals are fond of that, as Bhagavaan Baba says. If you link the Self at the body level with the cosmos, you shall attain great expansion. Through love, you multiply your power to the power of infinity. Such meditations are taught in the Upanishaths. First, link self with family; then, gradually, with friends, society, city, country, planet, solar systems, galaxy, universe (as in Jyothi/Light Meditation). Remember that the power of the microcosm is multiplied manifold as it links closer and deeper with the macrocosm. The Purusha Suuktha of the Rig-Vedha tells us to link the individual with the cosmic at various levels, the physical level being the first. Then comes linkage at the mental level. In the super-conscious state, sages and yogis have had the vision of Hiranyagarbha (meaning golden self-shining seed force, from which are generated the universes). Consciousness persists through all the states of evolution/involution. At the Hiranyagarbha-Thaijas level is the spiritual heart, where one can meditate to foster the link-up with the divine cosmic energy. All these forms relate to cosmic energies, which the individual links through meditation. This Hiranyagarbha or Supreme Love principle is the first manifestation from Parabrahman, the never-changing Supreme Being. As Bhagavaan Baba states, "I separated Myself from Myself in order to love Myself." From the Hiranyagarbha emanated the universes and, in the process, all the components of the cosmos. Macrocosm and microcosm have the same structure: The living cell (anda), human embryo (pinda), and cosmos (Brahmanda) are all egg shaped or linga shaped." To the same truth have reached the modern physics. Sai Mahayantra Yantras as talismans which have the power of hidden atmic (pranic) energies and usually are energized by learned purohits, by reciting the vedic mantra. Ghandikota V. Subba Rao's "Saithree: Manthra, Yanthra, Thanthra" was energized by Swami's blessing. For Yantra meditation is strong instructions. It is a branch of yoga, Yantra Yoga - the path of union with God thorough geometric visualization. Very often for Westerns these instructions are hard to follow, there is a lack of correct knowledge. In my mail, mentioned above was written: "Enjoy the Divine power of Sai Mahayantra. Swami is the prop for all seekers on their way to spirituality. All actions proceed from Him, as He is not separate from entire creation. By statement in Purusha Sukta: "All the beings form His one foot." All kinds humans' and not humans' actions on the Earth are performing only by the mere presence of the Sun, which rises in the sky without any volition. Similarly all actions are done by the Lord without any volition or desire on His part. .. God assumes any form, any vibration of energy in the arena of creation imagined by the spiritual seekers through contemplation and meditation. Sai Mahayantra is as a source of inspiration for spiritual seekers blessed by Swami - the living Divine incarnation." Sai Mahayantra was sent to the group as a source of inspiration, meditation. It seems to me that there is absent the special details what needs special rituals for performing Yantra Yoga. By my opinion, it is not as powerful as the Sri Sai Yanthras created by Ghandikota V. Subba Rao are. Therefore, it is possible to observe it, meditate without knowing exact rituals. I should call it as 'Sai -Sun wheel of spiritual inspiration' (what shines through Swami's Teaching), but I cannot change the heading what was written by author. Explanation based on my personal vision (I do not deal with occults knowledge) and on Swami's Teaching. The Divine Power as shines from the heading. One of the many my visions I found that this beautiful painting with heading "Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Spiritual Blessings" is as the Sun in form of His Teaching what illuminates to all humans beings in the planet. The Sun-Swami is a yellow circle in center, pink point in yellow center is Swami's Cosmic Form, what is capable to spread through vibrations (triangles) into infinite space, absorbes in it and becomes invisible for common eyes. Various forms in circles are mostly pink with several islets and circles in green and lilac. These islets are pictorially as communication of the ancient wisdom of Vedas and Great Epics which has bound in His Teaching; they as connect the present with the past. Swami's Teaching as pink (color of love) illumination equally spreads over all human society, their religious, structures, communities (pink or pale pink structures inside circle) as the whole. Human society is one entity - as a circle connected with his past and future through what shines Swami's Message to humanity - about it as tells green and pale pink circle what encloses with circle. Through this vision there become as inner joy, feeling of oneness... Swami's Teaching becomes for me more clear and as directs me closer to the other human beings, as seeing them through divine glasses. By such way, thanks to Swami, many problems is available to solve more easily. It seems to me that such free inspiration is not fully correct with Yanthras created by Ghandikota V. Subba Rao. They have the concrete purpose expressed by many divine signs. But Sai Mahayantra have no such concrete signs and I can freely be inspired through it. I have not only one vision. However, probably they are not interesting for others, as everyone from very different cultures and religions is a carrier of Divine spark and has his/her own way and visions towards enlightenment. Let me add some Swami's quotations what has given me courage partly to share my path towards Atmic reality. "God has neither birth nor death. He is eternal; he has no beginning, no end. He is in the form of Atma. That is Jnana Jyothi (light of wisdom)." (Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The Divine Discourse "Dispel the Darkness of Ignorance." 19 Oct 1998, Prashanti Nilayam). "Yantra, mantra and tantra all the three are latent in human beings. We are repeating the mantra 'Soham' 21,600 times a day. 'Soham' means I am God. Human body is the yantra. Who is responsible for making the heart beat? Who is responsible for digestion and blood circulation in the body? The eye, which is not even an inch in size is able to see the stars, which are millions of miles away. The eardrum, which is small in size, is able to receive sounds from far off distances. Television and telephone are within the body. Having been endowed with such a powerful yantra, the body and the sacred mantra, Soham, it is a shame if we do not work for the redemption of our life. Hridaya is the tantra, Soham is the mantra and body is the yantra. Nations are many, but earth is one. Being are many, but breath is one Stars are many, but sky is one, Jewels are many, but gold is one." (Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
