This clearly looks like a photograph of a painting--not something

manifesting in the 3-dimensional world. It doesn't seem like the painter

had any intention of making it look like anything but a painting. Look at

the writing in the book for instance.

It has been said that Lord Hanuman, the

greatest devotee of Lord Rama, is Immortal.  I understand he will for ever

be remembered as the devotee of Rama.  There were so many people who lived

during Rama’s time and were instruments in his mission.   But

none of their names are remembered as the name of Lord Hanuman. This picture

evokes feelings of awe and respect.   With God all things are

possible.  Swami has materialized several pictures of God.  Lord

Hanuman is probably in his causal body still chanting the name of Lord Rama!

What a sweet coincidence!  Only yesterday Sri Ramnavami was

celebrated.

I have seen another version, very similar to this photograph of

Hanuman reading the Ramayana or a sacred text. I cannot say if the

picture in:

http://www.geocities.com/Eureka/Enterprises/1503/Saikrish31.html

is a photo of a painting derived from the other photograph or not.

I think this could be a picture of Hanuman or of another being, of

another realm perhaps. If the photo has a paranormal origin, this

would not be the first case in which paintings of photographs of

deity have been produced. For example, once Sathya Sai Baba

manifested a painting of Lord Dattatreya through a camera. Mrs.

Ratan Lal has this photograph given by Baba in her pooja mandap. Of

course, phenomenons happen and there are things that the human mind

cannot understand. Nevertheless, the image of Hanuman arouses

respect and admiration. I think that likewise paintings of Jesus

evoke devotion, in the same manner if this picture of Hanuman will

evoke devotion in the Hanuman devotees, it will reach its purpose.

color:navy;mso-no-proof:yes">Dear Sai Brothers and Sisters,

color:navy">I found the thread on Hanumanji to be

very interesting. A few years ago, I had received the same picture from a close

friend and his version of the story closely resembled the one on the website.

If you take a close look at the picture, you will notice that the script on the

book—held by Hanuman—looks very ancient. The writing appears to be

handwritten and does not find any resemblance to modern typesets or computer

fonts.

color:navy">I am not surprised at this marvel, though. Hanumanji

has a boon of immortality. Stories of Hanuman are abundantly found in Hindu

Mythology and his presence has been described from the time of Krishna (15,000 years after Rama)

to all the way in Kaliyuga where Hanumanji

physically helped the great saint Tulasidasa.

color:navy">For those who have read Sathya Sai Baba’s

childhood stories, you may recall of an incidence where Baba’s friends

took him to a Hanuman Temple. On reaching there, they wanted to do Pradakshina

(circumambulations) around the Idol. Baba was

hesitant, but on being forced by his friends, he was about to take the first

step. At that very minute Hanumanji appeared and

caught Baba’s feet requesting him not to perform circumambulations as he

was the very Lord Rama whom Hanumanji

had been adoring and worshipping since thousands of years.

color:navy">There is one more great saint in the Himalayas named Mahavatar

Babaji. He is also said to have been physically present

since over a 1,000 years.

color:navy">All these are really phenomenal mysteries; however, they all seem trivial

when we see the Lord of the Universe, himself, treading the earth in his

physical form. How fortunate are we to walk on the earth at a time when the

Lord himself has incarnated.

We also had the same picture circulated here some years back and story was

similar to the one written. I may be wrong but I have heard that there a lot of

enlightend men who are performing 'tapasya' in the Himalayas and also that they

live in caves and hardly ever come down. Maybe this person is one of them -

time has forgotten!
