News from Brindavan (Whitefield)

Sai Ram, 3-4-04 I am in Whitefield with no sign of Baba. There are so many rumor

that it is hard to make any reasonable decision based on them. However, someone

pointed out that the temperature in Prasanthi Nilayam is over 100. I think this

would be an incentive for Baba to get devotees out of the heat.  I am not sure

what I am going to do. I have some business to take care of Friday morning and

then I will decide. I may take the chance and return to Prasanthi.  It is

strange seeing Brindavan and the surrounding area after 23 years. I knew it was

built up but I thought it would be different. The Hall has been expanded and is

finished. It looks great. The whole ashram looks great. But from outside the

walls the covering over the hall looks lousy. The Gokulam area is impressive. I

walked around different areas of Whitefield. There are several very modern

up-to-date buildings that would rival other places in the world. It is clear

that India is caught up in leaping into the 21st century while still have to

deal with the tremendous problems from the past. The Indian economy is growing

rapidly. There is every reason to believe that India will accomplish the

modernization of the country soon. The top leaders of India and of several

state governments are committed to serving the people and improving the

infrastructure. With them seeking guidance from Baba and following his advice,

India will move into the modern age while retaining and improving its spiritual

stance. India will excel as the spiritual leader of the world as it becomes the

leader in the economic and political fields. India will be the example for the

world and the world will follow. This is as I understand Sai Baba's Will. We

are here to witness and be part of it. In india and in the rest of the world.

We are

witnesses to the most glorious and revolutionary transformation in the history

Is He ever going to indroduce Himself to the US?Except the few devotees i

knowaround here, nobody also is aware of  Him. others never heard the word

Avatar and most of them dont want to know.

What is our job at this point? can we tell or shall we keep the silence on.

Not to hurt your feelings.Sami does not need any

introduction.As swami always says he is everywhere for

the people who have faith in him.I am in virginia

last one year many times I physically saw swami in my

house.

Sorry to say I dont accpet the fact nobody knows him

in USA.I have seen many forigners also in our bhajan

center.

If you want to physically have him in USA just pray

him.He will answer your prayer.Please dont get hurt at

what I am trying to express the pain when I saw your

mail.

Dear Maya,

 

Who knows what to expect in the last 18 years of Swami's life here until he goes

and then becomes Prema Sai. That

is his leela. But we in the US should not lose faith because

he has not come here yet ... he has in many ways .. very

secretly. Those of us who know of him ... have the sacred

and secret duty of trying to follow his teachings, be examples, and through

prayer draw our lords energy here to

purify and energize the areas, people, and places around us.

We must have complete faith in Sai and we must pray daily.

We must pray and draw him here to the US .... for sooner

or later ... Swami WILL make his presence known ... but

more than likely it will be through a situation where the

US will turn for help ... Not unlike many a egotistical individual who doesn't

turn to Swami until they have real need to do so... until there is some crisis

of some kind.

Look how 911 drew a resurgance of prayer in this country

after years of many people trying to abolish prayer altogeather from our

activities and our schools. We who

are in the United States have a real job ... to pray and do

our sadhana with ernest so that we can draw Our Lord Sai's

energy here into this country ... so that his Love can start

to do the slow internal change that occurs... the transformation that Swami

likes to do best ... which is through love .. on a deep internal level .. so

that the change

will be long lasting and permanent.

Our job ...is to follow his teachings, strengthen our faith in

the avatar and his mission, pray continuously to him for

faith, guidance, strength, and to come into our homes.

Literally ... to Nag him with our fervant prayers ....

He hears... he will come. But we must surrender also first.

We must surrender our lives, our outcomes, our futures, our

journeys all to him and be confident that he truly knows what

is best ... and to Swami leave all the rest.

But we must never stop praying ....do puja's ... do service

and more service...

 

Yes I agree that our centers are few and far between...

That is very unfortunate in the US. I too have the problem of

being a 3 hour drive one way .. to go any center at all for

Swami.... but that isn't his only mission here ... The Sai

Centers are only part.

 

Swami has other charitable services that are gathering force

in pure seva and devotion.

 

We do not have to be part of Sai Center on a regular basis

to form a group that meet weekly to do bhajans, sing his name, and pray. We can

gather people ... even if its just

your family ... though we should make every effort to participate if we're near

one .... like household you can find the nearest homeless shelter and serve.

You can gather and sing and pray and do puja. Do can pray incessantly for Swami

to come

here to the US.... I am praying incessantly for Swami to come and build a Sathya

Sai School for children right here

in New Hampshire and I will continue to do so .. I would ask other devotees to

please join me in this fervant prayer.

Our children are our future as a country and they need real guidance and

schooling. I call on every US devottee to

pray daily at thier altars .. for Swami to come to the US with more love. For us

devottees are the ones need to draw him

here and to other places in the world. Have faith and prayers can change the

very world we live in and that is what Swami

is asking of us ... daily!!

 

But I firmly believe and know that if every devottee in the United States wether part of

a Sai center or not ... made a puja room and prayed daily

we would be part of Swami's secret mission which is not

just for the US but for the world.

 

We would be a part of Swami's mission to secretly channel the efforts of his

'workers' to not only physically and mentally help, but to be 'cleansing

angels' for society at metaphysical levels.

 

Quite a clever fellow indeed our Lord is.

Consider that and then consider Swami's next quote ...

 

" Love is the only alchemy, the only solution in the Kali Yuga. It is the only

possible weapon with which to fight the evil tendencies. One should not meet

hate with hate. One should meet hate with love. I tell you, love is the most

wonderful thing and can work great miracles by changing the very nature and

character of man. It works from within the person, from inside, and so the

change is more thorough and absolute, though the curing process is slow.

Therefore,

develop love towards everyone."

 

All else will happen in Swami's own good time.

ways to talk about Swami. Kind of tired to " just read about Him" Everybody is

pullingteachings and teachings. We all can read books. I need to talk and hear

other people opinions and experiences.Unless devotees belong to a family full

of Sai believers, one has very little chance to talk about Him. You can talk to

me about Sri Sathya Sai Baba any time you want at

mthebrave . I love to talk , hear and read about Him. I dream about

Him and Shirdi Sai all the time. I would love to hear about other peoples

dreams and experiences.

Cant go to India yet.

 Dear Friend

 

Swami is " Antharyami". If you think He is near you ; then He is definitely. Any

way whether you think or not ; He is Around you; beside you and in you.  

 

Just as the mother thinks more about the child who is staying in a far off place

than one who is with her ; Lord Sai is no different than  an affectionate

mother. His Love is more than 1000..... mothers.

 

Someone longing to See Him in person is really blessed.

Dear Sai Brothers and sisters( living abroad)

 

SAI is accessible to almost every Human living in India by at maximum 24/36 hour

journey by train/bus. But how many could make a trip Prasanthi Nilayam.

 

I have been living India for over 25 years beside my days of childhood and

college days ; but never could have darshan of Swami. But after I came to

Middle east the very first year with Divine's Will , I could get His Darshan.

 

I always use to feel envious when I see the devotion of overseas visitors at

Parthi. I used to get inspired by that. It is easier for us Indians to take Him

as our Lord. The true Sadhana is the one , overseas devotees are practicing.

Longing for Him to see Him means He is permanently installed in your Hearts.

This is true Devotion.

 

Mr Hislop ,Mr Goldstein , Mr Sinclair and many many other devout persons of

foreign origin stand testimony not only to US devotees but to all of us around

the Globe. We all know the miracles they have experoenced from The Divine Hands.

Swami suddenly appeared in their rooms, saved their lives and so on. All these

happened even before they knew about SAI at all.

 

We need to draw inspiration from these great personalities and wait at the Lotus

Feet.

Who knows what to expect in the last 18 years of Swami's life here until he

goes and then becomes Prema Sai. That

is his leela. But we in the US should not lose faith because

he has not come here yet ... he has in many ways .. very

secretly. Those of us who know of him ... have the sacred

and secret duty of trying to follow his teachings, be examples, and through

prayer draw our lords energy here to

purify and energize the areas, people, and places around us.

after years of many people trying to abolish prayer altogeather from our

activities and our schools. We who

are in the United States have a real job ... to pray and do

our sadhana with ernest so that we can draw Our Lord Sai's

energy here into this country ... so that his Love can start

to do the slow internal change that occurs... the transformation that Swami

likes to do best ... which is through love .. on a deep internal level .. so

that the change

will be long lasting and permanent.

Our job ...is to follow his teachings, strengthen our faith in

the avatar and his mission, pray continuously to him for

faith, guidance, strength, and to come into our homes.

Literally ... to Nag him with our fervant prayers ....

He hears... he will come. But we must surrender also first.

We must surrender our lives, our outcomes, our futures, our

journeys all to him and be confident that he truly knows what

is best ... and to Swami leave all the rest.

But we must never stop praying ....do puja's ... do service

and more service...

 

Yes I agree that our centers are few and far between...

That is very unfortunate in the US. I too have the problem of

being a 3 hour drive one way .. to go any center at all for

Swami.... but that isn't his only mission here ... The Sai

Centers are only part.

 

Swami has other charitable services that are gathering force

in pure seva and devotion.

 

We do not have to be part of Sai Center on a regular basis

to form a group that meet weekly to do bhajans, sing his name, and pray. We

can gather people ... even if its just

your family ... though we should make every effort to participate if we're

near one .... like household you can find the nearest homeless shelter and

serve. You can gather and sing and pray and do puja. Do can pray incessantly for

Swami to come

here to the US.... I am praying incessantly for Swami to come and build a

Sathya Sai School for children right here

in New Hampshire and I will continue to do so .. I would ask other devotees to

please join me in this fervant prayer.

Our children are our future as a country and they need real guidance and

schooling. I call on every US devottee to

pray daily at thier altars .. for Swami to come to the US with more love. For

us devottees are the ones need to draw him

here and to other places in the world. Have faith and prayers can change the

very world we live in and that is what Swami

is asking of us ... daily!!

 

But I firmly believe and know that if every devottee in the United States

wether part of

a Sai center or not ... made a puja room and prayed daily

'workers' to not only physically and mentally help, but to be 'cleansing angels'

for society at metaphysical levels.

possible weapon with which to fight the evil tendencies. One should not meet

Is He ever going to indroduce Himself to the US?

Except the few devotees i know

around here, nobody also is aware of Him. others never heard the word

Avatar and most of them dont want to know.

What is our job at this point? can we tell or shall we keep the silence on.

It is clear that India is caught up in leaping into the 21st century while

still have to deal with the tremendous problems from the past. The Indian

accomplish the modernization of the country soon.

 

The top leaders of India and of several state governments are committed to

serving the people and improving the infrastructure. With them seeking guidance

from Baba and following his advice, India will move into the modern age while

retaining and improving its spiritual stance.

 

India will excel as the spiritual leader of the world as it becomes the

leader in the economic and political fields. India will be the example for the

world and the world will follow.

 

This is as I understand Sai Baba's Will.

 

We are here to witness and be part of it. In india and in the rest of the

world. We are witnesses to the most glorious and revolutionary transformation in

It is indeed a great joy and with immense happiness I note that devotees in US

are yearning for His much promised visit to US.

 

Melody has written very well for what we devotees should do and in her last line

she says - Everything in Swami's own time. Yes that is what Swami says - LOVE MY

UNCERTAINITY.

 

So till then - while we yearn for HIS VISIT - we have to do what Swami wd

appreciate - become better what we already are - better Christians, better

Hindus, better Muslims, better Human Beings.

 

It is the first time in this Kali Yuga - that the Avataar in the form of Swami

has revealed His Identity as an Avataar during His life on earth. Swami said

HIS LIFE IS HIS MESSAGE - which later became a directive to devotees - YOUR

LIFE IS MY MESSAGE. So this makes every devotee responsible to live a life

style that would make Swami proud of us devotees.

 

While I agree with Melody on the aspect of daily prayer - I wd like to add that

constant namasmarna is also a great tool to bring us back on track. It can be

the Sai Gayatri or any one of the 108 names for Swami or just Sai Ram Sai Ram

Sai Ram - which ever mantra you choose - it should be kept time with our

breathing - so till we are consicious of our breathing - we keep repeating the

mantra.

 

All in all remember - HE IS RECEIVING EACH AND EVERY PRAYER OF OURS.

It is wonderful to read the dialogue between all of us regarding calling Swami to the US.

I can just imagine him listening to all of us and having a quiet chuckle

     

Baba is already with us all - please remember that ALWAYS. Whether he comes to

the US in his physical form or not, he is always present with all of us at

every moment and knows all our thoughts and wishes.

Namasmaranam will bring Swamy wherever we want HIM. Just when reading your mail,

a thought came to me (?!) - why not all devotees out there in US have a common

weekly Namasmaranam selected and chant that single Nama wholeheartedly and with

sincere prayers ?

Please consider this and start consolidating all US devotees and start spreading

the message - and let us start from the coming Thursday, 11th March - one mantra

a week from Thursday to Wednesday; and another from the next Thursday to the

next Wed.. and so on ! You may use this same group for this.

 

To go a little off the way, let me share my experience - it might sound funny.

Whenever we chant "Loka Samastha Sukino Bhavanthu" at our samithi, I used to

visualise a scene wherein Vajpayi and Musharef are having tea together in the

most friendly atmosphere ! I believe that if the positive thoughts are spread in

the ether, the animosity will come to an end. ( I do not think that a recent

news that upon a tip off from Indian RAW wing, attempt on Musharef's life was

thwarted - is just a coincidence ).

 

What I mean is the collective and the single minded prayers will definitely have

an effect of fulfilling our wish !

it would be superb. Maybe in someway we could incorporate

with the mantras .. one singular thought ... Swami come to the US ... Swami we love you.

 

If everyone did this ... we could certainly move Swami to

come to the US in a heartbeat. We must make a promise not to stop until this

prayer is answered. I just read the article about the Joythi light that was

carried to a little island

in India. What an example of cooperation and single minded goals. We need that

Joythi light in the US to dispel ignorance. This is a worth while project I

hope other US devotees who are reading this site will join in and maybe we can

make something happen with Swami's grace.

we want HIM. Just when reading your mail, a thought came to me (?!) - why not

all devotees out there in US have a common weekly Namasmaranam selected and

chant that single Nama wholeheartedly and with sincere prayers ?Please consider

this and start consolidating all US devotees and start spreading the message -

and let us start from the coming Thursday, 11th March - one mantra a week from

Thursday to Wednesday; and another from the next Thursday to the next Wed.. and

so on ! You may use this same group for this.To go a little off the way, let me

share my experience - it might sound funny.Whenever we chant "Loka Samastha

Sukino Bhavanthu" at our samithi, I used to visualise a scene wherein Vajpayi

and Musharef are having tea together in the most friendly atmosphere ! I

believe that if the positive thoughts are spread in the ether, the animosity

will come to an end. ( I do not think that a recent news that upon a tip off

from Indian RAW wing, attempt on Musharef's life was thwarted - is just a

coincidence ).What I mean is the collective and the single minded prayers will

Yes I agree that our centers are few and far between...      That is very

unfortunate in the US. I too have the problem of      being a 3 hour drive one

way .. to go any center at all for      Swami.... but that isn't his only

mission here ... The Sai      Centers are only part.             Swami has

other charitable services that are gathering force      in pure seva and

devotion.            We do not have to be part of Sai Center on a regular

basis      to form a group that meet weekly to do bhajans, sing his name, and

pray. We can gather people ... even if its just      your family ... though we

you can find the nearest homeless shelter and serve. You can gather and sing

            I am in Whitefield with no sign of Baba. There are so many rumor

that it is hard to make any reasonable decision based on them.

reason to believe that India will accomplish the modernization of the country

soon.                                    The top leaders of India and of

several state governments are committed to serving the people and improving the

infrastructure. With them seeking guidance from Baba and following his advice,

India will move into the modern age while retaining and improving its spiritual

stance.                                     India will excel as the spiritual

leader of the world as it becomes the leader in the economic and political

fields. India will be the example for the world and the world will follow.     

                              This is as I understand Sai Baba's Will.     

                              We are here to witness and be part of it. In

india and in the rest of the world. We are witnesses to the most glorious and

Yesterday when I first read about the Jyothi travelling from Madurai to Mumbai -

I was amazed - this spectacular feat was made possible only by His Grace and His

Blessings.

 

But, as I was reading it at the back of my mind was the thought process of how

we could have the sacred flame to reach Sai Centres in US and Europe from where

devotees could carry it to their homes.

 

I was positive that the flame will be a loud awakening call for all and the

excercise wd bring awareness about Swami to many.

 

In the times of Lord Krishna - every gopi used to get the sacred flame from

Krishna's house - to illuminate their own homes at night with sacredness.

 

The Akhand Jyothi - sacred flame - also requires full attention - oil has to be

added, wick has to be trimmed and the flame adjusted - this has to go on for 24

hours in a devotees house - calls for some strong discipline.

expressed what we can do - spiritually - till His visit materialised.

 

Or shall we say hasten His visit to US - we have to make the environ condusive
