Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters, Once I had a dream about Swami and my pussy cat which I would like to share whith you. I Have a tricolored lady pussy cat named Shanty and she is a very important character in my life. One night, she came in my dream and I said to her :"Do you know Swami ?" Very elegantly, she went, obviously perfectly knowing what she was doing, and started to look amongst a pile of photographs. She took one into her little mouth and brought it back to me very proudly. When I looked at it, there she was sitting on Swami's lap. I was ever so moved... Whenever I look at her now, I always remember the image of Swami petting the pussycat. All are his children... * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * In His Light, LOVE &; BLESSINGSNelly
Guest guest
Sai Ram: I also have several cat story's, the one that comes to mind is the naming of my first cat. We sat in front of each other this kitten and I. I was asking what its name was. i went through hundreds of names literally and there was no response. The kitten just sat there. she was tricolored, but some psuedo guru had told me that all names of pets are "projections" of the person. So I called the kitten "Shirdi's girl" in that moment the kitten jumped on my lap and began kissing my face. That night I had the most powerful vision of Shirdi Sai Baba. I read later in the prema vahini that we are supposed to be like kittens that allow the mother cat to take us in her mouth. Later I adopted another cat that had been abused and left to die. I named that cat Babaji. The day I adopted him I was given the money for his medical bills. The vet had been to Parthy, but didn't believe Baba was an AVatar. This vet told me Babaji my beloved cat would die in a matter of months because of his abuse and physical problems. I began to give him vibhuti, and that was nine years ago. Both cats are fine and get along great. In fact it's hard to tell between them in that the cats answer to both names when I call them, much like true Gurus, or so i understand. I think cats are maligned by people who don't love them, much like beliefs are maligned by people who don't understand them. The idea that in the west i am maligned for having Gurus. and That old adage of the pathetic single woman with two cats. That's me. Imagine living with Shirdi and Babaji, .. And always receiving money mysteriously to pay for sweet Babaji's vet bills. I could write pages and pages on how beautiful a relationship between That which I love and how Swami acknowledges I love and shows his love by supporting and valuing and keeping my Babaji alive. A cat who has never hissed once. At 02:25 PM 2/24/04 +0100, you wrote: Dear Brothers and Sisters, Once I had a dream about Swami and my pussy cat which I would like to share whith you. All life is sacred and your lovely story made my day. Thank you. In times where people and animals are so ill treated, it is good to remember that we are responsible for them... Guest guest
Yes, Nelly, Swami is always busy and I believe He has much love and tenderness for all His children, human, animal... Years ago, my cat Stuffee would sit under Swami's chair when we had study group and bhajan, after, he would jump up on the seat of the chair. At first I thought it was disrespectful, and shoo'd him away, then I had the strong feeling he was actually sitting on Swami's lap, seeing and feeling more than I, and so left him to his darshan. 2 years ago, at the age of 21, after giving so much love, he was ill, giving up drinking and eating. On the day he died, he drank a full bowl of water mixed with vhbutti and breathed his last breath, listening to the 108 names of Bhagavan. How grateful I should feel to breathe my last, as focused on Swami as Stuffee seemed to be... Guest guest
Sai Ram Dianna and Larry, All these beautiful stories showing us how spiritual our little companions happen to be... Funny you should mention how you renounced having your Stuffee out of the room when singing or meditating, I came to the same conclusion : I think they actually enjoy a spiritual atmosphere and they feel Swami's presence, so why send them away ? How marvellous the way you accompanied him to do the passage... You will probably have the same luck when the time comes ! Love and Blessings, I am very happy to hear the language of the heart expressing Love for all of our brothers and sisters in the Creation. Guest guest
I don't exactly remember where I read this interesting story of a cop in India who visits Prasanthi and invites Swami to his house for lunch. He asks Swami to bring his friends along. Swami, sure enough takes along with him couple of His pet dogs to the cop's bewilderment. dianna and larry [bambinos] February 24, 2004 11:48 AM saibabanews [saibabanews] Re: A beautiful dream Yes, Nelly, Swami is always busy and I believe He has much love and tenderness for all His children, human, animal...
