Guest guest
I watched the Lingodbhavam 'Live' thanks to Sanskar TV. For a first time effort, it was quite good, though there were many things they could have done better. For instance, their preamble stretched to 5.30 pm, by which time Swami had been on His discourse for almost half an hour... Pre-amble should NOT interfere with the Divine Discourse... There was too much of talk-over by the TV crew, over-shadowing the happenings in the Divine Presence...may be for the benefit of first timers to the Sai movement!! All the faults, anyhow, pale into insignificance when we consider the great good fortune of having the Divine Darshan and the ability to see the miracle of Lingodbhavam from our homes. Three cheers to Sanskar TV and to the Prashanti Digital Studio team for giving us this great boon on Mahashivaratri. Jai Jai Sairam to you and may the Lord Bless you for your efforts in broadcasting this great event. There seems to be quite some confusion on what Swami said after His return to the dais, post Lingodbhavam. Since I follow Telugu and English well, I got the double benefit of hearing both the original and Anil Kumar's translation. Swami was mainly addressing the students and consoling them again and again. He said they were extremely worried and very frightened to see Bhagawan weak and struggling after the first (public) Linga emergence. He repeatedly said that students, in fact, no one needs to worry about 'THIS BODY'. The three lingas were very heavy, and it felt like three tonnes of weight has been removed from His stomach. Because of their formation during the past one month, this body could not get enough nourishment and rest. So it became weak with the exertion. He announced that from tomorrow there will be no weakness in the body. In Telugu He said, "Naenu ekkada kavalante akkada thirugavacchu", which literally means, I can move around wherever I want (wish)... I do not recall Him specifically mentioning that He will come walking for Darshan. Interpretations can be made in various ways, as in most cases. Neither did Prof. Anil Kumar interpret it as walking for Darshan. If my memory serves me right, Anil Kumar said, 'I can go wherever I want'. I heard the TV crew bringing in the walk for Darshan, wonder who interpreted for them!!! I feel Swami was only saying His body will get stronger, though 'thirugavacchu' could be interpreted as walk around as in 'people roaming around...' I do hope and pray that Bhagawan does resume His walking Darshans soon. All of us miss it terribly. Nothing can replace the graceful form of the Lord walking and blessing the devotees. All of us had tears in our eyes to see His struggles to let the Linga emerge. How the Lord suffers for the sake of us, silly humanity. Though He keeps insisting that He is beyond Body-Consciousness, it was heart-wrenching to those of us seeing the event. I can only pray that He stops this and resorts to materialising the Linga with His usual flourish of the miraculous Right Hand. I hope I have not added to the confusion. Jai Sairam to one and all. Guest guest
Dear Brother, Jai Sai Ram! There was no doubt that Sanskar TV has done a remarkable job. I feel that when Bhagavan is His giving divine discourse or singing Bhajans there is no need for commentary. I hope authorities of Sanskar TV must understand that when Bhagavan sings Bhajans there must NOT be any interference by commentators. I hope such mistake will not be repeated by TV authorities. Guest guest
Sairam I agree with Sai brother Madhusudhan. I think the messaage was misinterpreted. Swamy never mentioned abou walking for darshan. It was very hard for us to digest the scenes of struggle of swamy during Lingodhbavam especially being carried to the interview room. All of us Pray that Baba shud walk soon and we continue to serve him. Guest guest
Thanks to Sri Madhusudhan and Sri Gerald for clearing the confusion. Guest guest
Sai Ram, Our heartfelt thanks to the Prashanti SGH team for enabling us to see Swami on the live telecast of Sanskar TV. I agree with Sri Madusudhan's remarks, both on the commentary overshadowing the proceedings, and also the final remarks of Bhagawan and the translation by Sri Anil Kumar. Swami did say in Telugu that he could go wherever he wanted. All this apart, we were taken to one of the rarest emotional experiences watching Bhagawan manifest the Lingam. I felt the deepest awe, respect, love, devotion, watching the program. The vibrations even from the TV telecast, were very strong. Om Sri Sai Ram R.
