Events at Prashanthi Nilayam14 FEB 2004Today a big group of devotees from Ooty

belonging to the Badaga community came for Darshan in the morning. As soon as

swami came and sat in the lobby, He sent word for the group to sit in front of

Him by the side of the Veda Chanting group. Swami called a senior person from

the group and materialized a ring for him. Oranges, Swami’s pocket photo and

Vibhuthi packets were brought from His room and distributed to all the members

of the group (both men and women). Swami came down and went towards the ladies

side where the women devotees of the group were seated. There was one lady who

was chanting Vedas along with the boys. Swami materialized a chain and put it

around her neck. Sarees and Dhoties were distributed to all of them.In the

afternoon it was the turn of the final year graduate students to present the

program in front of Swami. It was again

devotional singing with a few students giving a short speech. After this, Swami

permitted all the students to have them photographed with Swami in groups of

about ten. Swami left at 6 pm.

15 FEB 2004The post graduate students had a presentation in front of Swami

inside the Bhajan Hall at around 8:40 a.m. There was no mike for this

program.In the afternoon, Swami came at 3:10 p.m. and after a while the post

graduate students continued their program in Sai Kulwant Hall with mike. It

went on till about 4:20 p.m. and then the photograph session started and went

on till 5:00 p.m. Mangala Aarathi was performed at 5:00 p.m.Preparations are in

full swing for Shivarathri. Already people have started to pour in.
