Guest guest
What you write is true and you should not be sorry for telling the truth. Sadly we cannot change others, only they can change themselves. However, there are many people who visit 'Parthi' who do try to reach their highest 'best,' within themselves but usually they are the 'quiet ones.' They usually sit at the back passively, then after darshan fade more or less in to the background. fondly, Hastasana.
Guest guest
Sairam. Yes. We should visit parthi. For what ? To have darshan of Swami ??That is justified if we adhere to Swami's teachings. Otherwise there is no point in wasting money by visiting Parthi, feel delighted by seeing Swami, listnening to discourses and again leading our own life in our own world of selfishness, cruelity, corruption, violence etc.etc. I have seen some of my own sai brothers/sisters fighting for a seat in trains/buses while returning from parthi. I have seen people using harsh words at others after returning from Parthi. Is it not just rverse acts of Swami's teachings ?? If we Swami's followers can practice atleast few teachings of Swami in our daily lives/in the society, Swami can have more glories through us as messengers of Sai. Swami rightly says "Your life should be my message". What are we doing ?? When can we prove that we are Swami's children ?? There is no time to prove it. Swami will be in this body for another few years. Are we attached to Swami's physical body which is the reason for parthi visit ??? Better to be attached with Swami's teachings. Swami says 'You come 1 step to me, I will come forward 10 steps towards you'. But when we can feel that Swami is with us all the time, in our work places, while walking on road, being in nagar sankirtanam/bhajan, where is the need of rushing to Parthi ?? How many poors [financially] can afford to visit parthi ? Does it mean that Swami do not belong to them ?? We should not say by not visiting parthi, we are worthless. Yes. We can visit parthi to recharge our batteries. But we should be a beacon of light in the society/in our SAI family, by practising Swami's teachings and proving ourselves as "Bangarus", "Embodiments of divine love", "Sai followers". When Swami says us "divyatmaswaruplara", we are. There is no second opinion about that. But we are not aware of our divinity. Let us start practising Swami's teachings. Besides doing personal sadhanas such as Japam,Meditations, attending Bhajans,Nagar samkirtans, community seva, can we practise stopping "bribing" [which is one of the point in 10 folds path to divinity]? I know in my place, lot of sai brothers being samthy members/active workers are indulged in "bribing" [both taking and giving to get their work done and this is overlooked by our elders]. Can we Sai youths and SWAMI's followers stop such malady in the society ?? Then it can have a wonderful impact in the society because in most of the public life, most of the time nothing moves without bribing [you may call it in other names such as complements/commissions etc.] and when we dont practise it [at least initialy to stop accepting bribes/commissions], we can follow atleast one teaching of Swami. Can we take a first step in this direction ... from now onwards please ?? Let us pray Swami to make us strong enough to adhere to his teachings. I may be wrong. I may be excused if i have hurt anybody for my words used in this msg. Ever at HIM papu

Guest guest
Dear Papu, Sai Ram. Much of what you say is very true. But I would also like to say that if you have deep faith in Swami then anything is possible no matter where you are in the world ... including Swami bringing you to him in the physical form in Parthi. No we should not be attached to his physical form. But he also calls us to Parthi to establish us lost ones in having faith in who he is and what he says. And by being near him in the physical form ... if we do not have the ability to concentrate and to commit to our sadhana to bring Swami into our lives daily... His physical presence works on us ... his energy doesn't recharge us. It changes us. If you are able to concentrate on Sai and feel him in your meditation than you ... are luckier than many poor souls out there who can and can't get near him. Even those who can afford to go to him in Parthi every year and still don't change inside.... but Swami does change us inside ... slowly. If there was no real value to anyone going to get Swami's darshan ... then Swami wouldn't do it. Now would he. But if you are far away and cannot afford to go to his lotus feet. Then pray ... pray ... pray ... plead ... ask ... tell Swami with all your heart. Then he will be with you where you are or bring you to him... or maybe ... He will appear to you there and ease your heart. But believe in him and have faith in him. We cannot understand any of what Swami does and why. Love him and he will love you back. Sai Ram .... be well and be happy ... may Swami bless you always with a full, loving heart and always hold you near him so that you will know that no matter where you are in the world ... when Sai is in your heart .. You are home. Sai Ram Melody - SAIyouths saibabanews Friday, February 06, 2004 9:37 AM [saibabanews] Visiting parthi... Sairam. Yes. We should visit parthi. For what ? Guest guest
What Papu has said in his email is very true. The only way is to be extremely vigilant, Namasmarana helps a lot. Swami says, "you take 1 step and I take 10 towards you." Observe the mind constantly. Keep vigil every moment of your waking time. Practise, Practise and Practise.
