A reputable travel agent(in my experience) can be reached at nahmed12 Don't accept any fare more than 1200 rupees one way. If you arrange a return taxi at the same time 1000 both ways is a good deal. or take a bus to the airport from the bus depot. Ahmed can also arrange a room where Baba is if you need that kind of security. There are also buses available from Bangalore but after a long trip you might be wiser to take a taxi, depending on your energy level. Bring your own mosquito repellant and plenty of moisturiser. My first purchase is always a mosquito net! I find that light cottons are the most comfortable, and these can be bought for a reasonable price at the ashram store. Don't wear shorts and don't show your arms, it's considered improper. It is advisable to wear a scarf and or shawl across your shoulders, for perceived modesty. The light scarves can also double as protection from the hot sun. Comfortable shoes that allow your feet to breath and can absorb the heat of the concrete if you're not used to walking on hot cement. A good moisturizer helps for hot feet and hydrates the skin. Drink alot of water. I myself have five times just arrived at the ashram and received a room. I am completely convinced that Baba will be with me the entire way. No matter what difficulties ... I am sure they will all out way the blessedness of being able to sit at his feet. I am a mother of 3 boys. One of whom is autistic. It is very difficult to get away. Baba's grace has been ALL in my being able to go again after 4 years since my last visit. My many thanks to everyone for thier help and advice. You all will be in my prayers to Sai.
