Events at Prashanthi Nilayam10 JAN 2004The program on the sports day commenced

at the Hill View Stadium at 7:25 a.m.Swami came in the white SAAB open car

(convertible) STANDING in a procession led by Ananthapur campus band. As soon

as he came, the procession started with Sai Geetha leading the procession

followed by the PSN campus band and the pilots in the motorcycles from PSN, BLR

and Ananthapur campuses. Swami reached the dais through a lift and lighted a

lamp to signify the start of the Sports meet. Swami also released white doves

and two bunches of balloons. The march past commenced with the girls from the

higher Secondary School PSN leading the march past followed by girls from

Ananthapur campus, Ananthapur Junior College, primary school boys, higher

secondary school boys, Bangalore campus and finally PSN campus boys.Then, The

sports meet flag

was brought in a procession with six boys carrying the flag and a number of boys

with colored flags accompanying them. The flag was tied to the pole and Swami

pressed the button and the flag went up. Six students brought the torch to

light the fire near the Hanuman statue at the top and after obtaining the

Blessings of the Lord, the carried to the bottom of the hillock near the bottom

of the fountain and a white lion carried it to the top from their through the

rope. The fire was lit up at around 8:00 a.m.The program commenced with the

Bangalore campus boys performing daring acts on Motorcycles among other

programs.This was followed by the PSN campus performance which included a

unique Chinese Dragon dance (performed for the first time in India by

Indians!), and gymnastic and Karate shows.The program concluded at 9:50 a.m.

with swami leavingthe stadium again in the white car.The Hill view stadium was

almost full today.The Primary School

and Ananthapur campus are performing in the afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
