The seventy eighth (78th) birthday celebrations of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba is a time for reflection. There is only one religion in the world (not many). That is the "religion of love". How true. Differences among religions are narrowing and are fast becoming negligible. As we proceed, we note that there is much to learn and more to unlearn. "Transformation" in thinking and in ones life style is an important objective of the Sai mission. Achievement of this objective leads to "perfection and humaneness". This is achievable by self-knowledge, self-discovery and self- fulfilment. Sai devotees' greatness lies in what they are and not what they have done. Sai mission is an "individual" mission. The "one size fit all" approach will not work in individuals, in Sai centres/ devotional groups or even in the different Sai organisations in the world owing to the constraints imposed by society/ culture/ government. One of the many aspects of human frailty pointed out by Swami reads as follows: - "Diseases which torment man are many in number. Of these hatred, envy and egoism are the worst. Even the doctors cannot cure them, for even they suffer from these afflictions! Anger is another enemy of health. It injects poison into the bloodstream." Australia's success story in the Sai mission is due to putting into practice, as far as it is practicable, Sai's wisdom and assisting to minimise frailties of Sai participants. There are unquantifiable aspects. "Creativity" is the Australian Sai Organisation's drive. Sai participants are unleashed and not controlled or managed. We harness creative energy. We decentralise decision-making. Sai participants are given the freedom to provide inputs to make our organisation unique in all aspects. sgd. T.
