Namaskarams!! thank you very much all, for the video inputs...and especially a big thankyou to Mike Montoya for his detailed advice... it just so happened that we had firefox downloaded in our computer, but i wasn't using it, not knowing that it might make a difference...but was using internet explorer, cause that's what i was used to...however, we installed and upgraded firefox, and lo and behold!!! we COULD play the quicktime videos from the Amritapuri website...and they played immediately, no long waits, only a couple of pauses if the player got a little ahead of the streaming video...mostly excellently done... again thank you so much for the advice!! it worked perfectly...perhaps all you other folks out there for whome internet explorer performed so shamefully should consider trying firefox as a browser, at least for the videos, as Mike suggested! i can guarantee it works, at least for us it did!! this certainly shows that it pays to ask for help, when having problems! BTW, firefox does not work for all sites, and for such sites you need IE. one great site is www.musicindiaonline.com. it has some terrific bhajans (click on 'Devotional' in the categories on the left; click only on Sanskrit under that for folks who do not follow Devanagari languages!). this site works very well with IE, but not with Mozilla firefox. Works like a charm for almost all pages that need native IE/ActiveX support. I use that at my work place where we have quite a few apps that work only in IE. regards Gopinath
