Guest guest
Hi Katie, I would suggest you contact the Santa Fe Center and talk to them; I'm sure they would be happy to answer your questions. The M.A. Center in San Ramon would also be a good resource and a place where you can get some answers to these questions. It sounds like everything in your life has come to a close, especially the job situation, and this is sometimes what happens prior to a new beginning. Sounds like Amma has a plan for you, dear sister! Gather information, pray for guidance and see what comes of it all! Good Luck in your search! The thought keeps popping back up with more frequency as of late, and my family is supportive of any choice I make for my life...but before I make the decision to try to get into one of Amma's ashrams, hopefully as a Bramacharini, I have some questions on the daily life and how one goes about moving to an Ashram. What sort of tasks are you appointed for Seva? What is the daily schedule like? What are you allowed to bring with you? What are you required to bring with you? Is it even possible to move to one, given space and such? What sort of application process is there? I've considered Amritapuri, though my mum would prefer if I lived "closer to home" for the time being, so I've also been looking at the ones in the US, particularly New Mexico (I live in Colorado). Any information from anyone would be greatly appreciated. Jai maa! -Katie Aum Amriteswarayai Namaha! Mata amritanandamayi Visit your group "Ammachi" on the web.
