Single mother has urgent need

Om Namah Shivaya,

 

A mother, Sonya, of a dear 10-year-old boy, who a group of Amma devotees helped

for Christmas, just called me. Sonya's husband of 20 years has been getting

drunk & violent. 3 days ago he ransacked their home & left. He cashed Sonya's

check, left them without food & many bills unpaid, including rent.

 

Sonya called sounding desparate, & repeatedly mentioned that they needed food.

She doesn't have transporation to a food bank. Her son has been wearing dirty

clothes, because they have no money for the coin operated washer & dryer in

their complex. So, this is a request for help.

 

Sonya asked that if anyone helped her financially, that they make checks out to

her debtors, such as PG&E. She's offered any contributors open access to the

police report & her bills, because she wants it known she has a real need.

She's on Section 8, so her rent is only about $400. If anyone can contribute

food, bus passes, money for laundry, or anything else they may need, please

e-mail me directly.

 

I am a single mother with a relatively modest income, so Sonya will need more

than what I can contribute. I've given a list of resources to Sonya, & will

also try to point her towards the appropriate agencies.
