IMHO stay at the West Side YMCA, on 63rd st, three subway stops north of Amma's program site..the rooms at the Y are still the size of prison cells, but it's a helluva lot cheaper than the New Yorker, and you get full use of the pool & gym facilities. http://www.ymcanyc.org/ (click on 'guest rooms') hotel room rates in NYC are ridiculous, bordering on absurd..best to stay at the Y, or a hostel of some kind. Guest guest
People might want to also look into short term vacation apt. rentals. Same rates as the New Yorker and much better space. I won't stay at the NYer again if I can help it! - Mike Brooker Ammachi Friday, April 21, 2006 2:53 PM New Yorker Hotel > > In a message dated 4/21/2006 10:39:23 A.M.
