I think I was wearing a long burgundy kurta, I have long light brown straight

hair, blue eyes, pale, skinny. I was dancing in the back with Amal (Lee) and

Tom, Nazeela, Jaire (Anaghan, my fiance), Sakshi and others. Yes, we met in the

foyer. How funny! I'm sure I've seen you at the ashram too. I often wonder how

many from this list are there, and at the programs too, only how would we know?

Maybe this year we could all agree to have some identifiable symbol to wear or

something.

Did you get to see the Shiva Lingham that Swami manifested for Amal as a

birthday gift?

Also, to all south bay and bay area devotees on this list, I have been holding

kirtans regularly in San Jose, along with some other Amma devotees. Very sweet

and informal, some classic kirtans, some originals and some Amma bhajans. I

would like to invite anyone who is interested. We actually had one that night in

Santa Cruz after we barely made it (Ma's grace) through that bizarre ice storm.

Our cars were sliding all over the place. We were listening to "Amma Amma Taye"

and it started hailing these giant, marble sized hailstones, which got bigger as

the song escalated. Then it stopped hailing the moment the bhajan ended!

I think this summer I'm just going to try to cut back on the darshans. I may

be going on the whole tour for my honeymoon, since Amma is marrying us in San

Ramon! I've never done more than five stops, so I really hope it will work out.

I can't imagine any better way to spend our honeymoon.

love,

Prajna

Yes, I was there, & most likely the same Sweta. Since I'm terrible with names,

please remind me of how we met, or your looks. Did we talk in the foyer about

the satsangs in San Jose, & about Tom?

Here is a interesting side note about that Friday. It was snowing in Santa

Cruz, & I wanted a wool jacket, but wore just a thin rain shell, since my wool

jacket was in such pitiful shape. The very next day a devotee gave 2 jackets to

me, including a beautiful Tibetan wool jacket! Amma takes such good care of us,

& must Love us alot!

Regarding Amma's shoulder, during Devi Bhava Amma said that she didn't want me

to lay all the weight of my head on Amma's shoulder. The way it was translated,

it sounded as if Amma spoke in the 2nd. person. That, plus Amma's tone in

Malayalam sounded to me as so displeased , it seemed as if Devi Herself was

protecting Amma's body.

It can seem almost overwhelming to even start to perceive the amount of Amma's

sacrifice. We are so fortunate.

I also have had similar feelings about Amma's "crucifixion." Last summer tour

I remember that her shoulder was in bad shape, and they asked us to only get one

darshan every few days. It was just a few years ago when you could still get two

darshans a day! She seems to never be really bothered by fatigue or pain. I

think about my bouts of carpal tunnel, but look at Amma.... talk about a

repetetive stress injury! I try to imagine how I would feel if I were typing 18

hours a day every day for that many years.... The only thing I can say is that

the Divine Mother must REALLY love us.

Namah Shivaya Prajna,

Yes, I would be interested in your kirtans in San Jose. Please let me know

when they are happening. Are you on the Amma South Bay e-list? You can

post invitations there. Did you come to my house in Mountain View for the

Christmas Taize last year, you were playing the drums and Amal brought you

with 3 other friends?

Om Amriteshvaryai Namaha

Namah Shivaya Prajna,

That was an unusual winter storm. I was wondering if the devotees from

over-the-hill would drive home. I'm glad you were all safe.

It was Amal's birthday that Friday night? Amal did show the Shiva lingam to me,

after I asked what the swami had said to him.

Tom told me about some of the kirtan gatherings, & I would love to join you.

Please keep me posted.

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage! It's so touching that your honeymoon

will be with Amma. That sounds like the very best way to begin your married

life together.

Love,

Sweta
