Part of this dynamic may be the ravenous

thirst for pure love.

Amma says again and again that the greatest

poverty in the West (especially) is

the need for Prema (pure love)

Now it appears this is a global...

Dear GeorgeSon ~ I must have missed the original post about this. On the one

hand, it sounds rather frightening, but I'm sure Amma's Swami "police" kept

things well under control, or maybe not, since I missed the post. But as you

say, Amma understands. This need for love is so intense right now that when it

is standing right in front of us, in the form of a loving Mother like Amma,

resisting that urge would be hard. I know it would be hard for me. My own

urge would be to get as close to Her as fast as possible.

Sadly, it appears that, once again, it will not be possible for me to see

Amma, as I have become even more sick. I had thought to fly to Washington, DC,

stay with my daughter (to have some long needed time with my beloved child)

and also see Amma. It's just not going to be possible, and I can't bear to

break my daughter's heart or my own. Just this week, my doctor started me on

Oxycontin (today was my first day) to control the pain. If I am unable to

tolerate this medication, that's pretty much the end of the road, because

Oxycontin

is the last medication of choice for severe, chronic pain.

I will, once again, have to "see" Amma through the eyes of my brothers and

sisters here on the digest, but, remembering from last year, that was enough

.... it filled my longing heart, and I laughed at the parts that were funny,

cried at the parts that were moving, and felt that I had traveled around the

whole country. So, for those of us who are unable, for whatever reason, to see

Amma, I hope everyone will share their experiences, if not always on the

digest, perhaps in a special file on the page that we can go to and read

of

people's experiences.

Blessings GeorgeSon ~ Linda
