Guest guest
Swetaji, did I meet you at Swami Vishwananda's program in Santa Cruz? I think Amal introduced me to you? I just wondered if you are the same Sweta.... I also have had similar feelings about Amma's "crucifixion." Last summer tour I remember that her shoulder was in bad shape, and they asked us to only get one darshan every few days. It was just a few years ago when you could still get two darshans a day! She seems to never be really bothered by fatigue or pain. I think about my bouts of carpal tunnel, but look at Amma.... talk about a repetetive stress injury! I try to imagine how I would feel if I were typing 18 hours a day every day for that many years.... The only thing I can say is that the Divine Mother must REALLY love us. love, Prajna Sweta Mitzel <swetabc wrote: Nama Shivaya, Yesterday I attended a Good Friday mass, & cried while hearing about Christ's persecutions. Once while watching Amma give darshan, it seemed powerfully clear, that Amma is also crucifying her body. She takes on our karmas, she is always giving her life for each & every one of us, & gives & gives, even when it hurts. Amma's body really is an offering for the world, just as was Christ's body. May we all become such an offering. With love, Sweta How low will we go? Check out Messenger’s low PC-to-Phone call rates. Aum Amriteswarayai Namaha! Visit your group "Ammachi" on the web. Guest guest
Namah Shivaya Prajna, Yes, I was there, & most likely the same Sweta. Since I'm terrible with names, please remind me of how we met, or your looks. Did we talk in the foyer about the satsangs in San Jose, & about Tom? Here is a interesting side note about that Friday. It was snowing in Santa Cruz, & I wanted a wool jacket, but wore just a thin rain shell, since my wool jacket was in such pitiful shape. The very next day a devotee gave 2 jackets to me, including a beautiful Tibetan wool jacket! Amma takes such good care of us, & must Love us alot! Regarding Amma's shoulder, during Devi Bhava Amma said that she didn't want me to lay all the weight of my head on Amma's shoulder. The way it was translated, it sounded as if Amma spoke in the 2nd. person. That, plus Amma's tone in Malayalam sounded to me as so displeased , it seemed as if Devi Herself was protecting Amma's body. It can seem almost overwhelming to even start to perceive the amount of Amma's sacrifice. We are so fortunate. Namaskarams dear sisters and brothers!! i too cried when i watched the Pope going through the stations of the cross yesterday, and listened to the loving prayers being offered by the priests.... Even today Christ is daily being crucified (not just through Amma's loving offerings to us Her children), but through the uncaring nature of the world's peoples, their cruelty to one another, their selfishness and greed....each one of these adharmic actions is crucifying Christ daily as He tried so hard to be an example to us of how to live in harmony with the will of God, to walk in holiness every day, but we, have we listened to Him? do we walk in holiness each day..do we clothe the poor and feed the hungry? and house the homeless? or do we live in selfishness and greed, just as we did when He walked the earth so many years ago? so i say, that not only was He crucified on that cross, but daily through the actions of His supposed devotees. think of the pain He must feel upon seeing how the humanity is behaving with each other!! and He tried so HARD to get us to see the truth...and now He has had to come in another incarnation as our beloved Amma to show us again just what He and She MEAN when they talk about living a spiritual life. in Amma's Divine Love, and in Her Service, as ever, visvanathan
