Hello to all-

Linda in "Armor of the Goddess"

I gather this is only a chapter of the book. I am interested in the

book that these passages come from.

I would love to read it and your postings of the same.

I am always interested in the nuts & bolts of practical changes

that I must make in my values system. And chiefly in my behavior and

true motives.I need to stay inspired

Dear Bea, and all others interested in the Armor of the Goddess, please

excuse my looooong delay in getting back to everyone. I received a letter from

someone on the Devi Mandir list who told me I could NOT post this material from

the Chandi Path. I cried. I railed. I took all my pictures down (well, most

of them). I had a huge crisis of faith about everything ~ Swamiji, Amma,

everything. You see, I was told to come to the digest and tell people they could

go pay the $25 and buy the book. And with the IRS hounding me for $41,000 they

think I earned in 2004 (would I be living in a trailer?), it was just one

thing too much.

I didn't know what to do. Then today, there was a whisper in my ear, and I

went to the Shree Maa website. There is a section called Classes. If you go

there, you will find the Chandi, among many others. I listened to the section

that corresponded to the Armor of the Goddess. It does help to have the book

because Swamiji adds marvelous commentary, but you can usually tell when he is

reciting the text and when he is giving commentary.

To backtrack a bit to the original thread, I will share a verse from the

Armor of the Goddess:

Verse 26

"May the Goddess who Causes Love protect the chin; All Welfare protect my

speech; the Excellent Remover of Darkness, the neck; the wielder of the bow of

determination the back-bone."

After going to the website and seeing that Swamiji had already done the work

for me; he had already put it "out there," I still felt it would be good to

write and ask him if I could direct people to this information. Here is his

answer:

"Absolutely! We are trying to the best of our capacity to share the love of

the Goddess in as many forms as we possibly can. It would be fine for you to

suggest to people who are interested in Chandi or in any other other topic

that we teach, to go to our website and check out all the resources that we are

trying to make available.

In addition, I am sure that you noticed that we recently redesigned our

website. This is so that we can incorporate new material faster and easier so

that we can share more. We are about to begin a new series of classes which will

include video, audio, and various presentation technologies, and be totally

interactive, so that people can call in via chat or email, and have their

questions discussed in real time.

We hope you will like to join in the discussion and make the Chandi and

related subjects even more alive and real for you.

All our love and blessings,

Shree Maa and Swamiji"

Here is the link: _http://www.shreemaa.org_ (http://www.shreemaa.org)

If you go there, on the left side of the homepage, under the headline "Learn

More," click on Online Classes. The third down is the Chandi Path; click on

that. Go to the bottom of the list and click on "read more." Then on the next

page, click on Devya Kavacham, p. 56 - 71. This is the part that corresponds

to The Armor of the Goddess. Be patient because there is an introduction, a

kind of story, before it gets to the point of detailing how the Goddesses are

our armor. When I listened (which I had never done before) I was spellbound.

At one point, in his commentary, Swamiji talked about never going anywhere

without our armor, and never letting anyone enter our space and take us from

the vibration we desire. (Which is, of course, exactly what I had done. Doh!)

Please know that this is lovingly offered to those few who expressed

interest and is in no way meant to set Swamiji or Shree Maa above Ammachi. As

Max

said, there is no competition.

Jai all the gurus who work so hard for us ~ Linda
