I just wanted to share this incredible email describing the experiences of one

dear brother in our Satsang.

Not that I or anyone should feel the need to convince anyone of Amma's

Greatness, but here is yet more "proof".

Jai Maa!

--------------------------

Aum, aum, San Diego satsang!

I just returned a few days ago from the North India Tour with Mother and it

was quite an experience. I thought everyone would like to know a few recaps

from the past couple of months with Her.

Amma spent quite a lot of time with us during the looooong bus rides.

Normally she would pull all nine of our buses over and serve us lunch and

have evening chai stops with bhajans in the middle of a field, orchard, on

the beach, or even at petrol stations. Basically anywhere that we found a

spot. It was nice to get two times a day with her to break up the long

days.

When we were stopped at a tour stop, either for a one night public program

or a three day Brahmastanam festival, we were to attend all the programs

and would see her once or twice a day. This meant evenings only at public

programs and morning and evenings at the festivals. There were six

Brahmastanams during the eight week tour. At these Amma would conduct Raju,

Saturn, and sometimes Mars pujas. They were all so powerful.

All evening programs started with Mother recognizing local VIPS and handing

out annual pension plans to many handicapped or needy individuals or

families. She just continues to give and give. Often evening programs

lasted anywhere between 4am-9am and we had to be packed and ready to hit

the road on her command. Sometimes this meant darshan ended at 3am and we

were to be on the road at 4am. It could be crazy at times. And she truly

doesn't stop. I have a much better understanding of this now. She is always

giving Herself to those around hHer. Maybe She sleeps a few hours a night?

Who knows for when She was not conducting programs, she was visitng with

VIPS, at devotees houses, or conducting business in Her room. Her energy is

never ending.

In Karwar Amma broke a record and gave darshan to 100,000 devotees. I would

not be surprised if she hit this mark a few times during the tour, but this

was the first time it was shown on the token board. It was amazing. And I

think the program that is the most memorable for those on tour was the

Indore program. I have never been in the middle of a riot like that night.

Those on tour had crowd control as their main concern for that program. I

truly feared for Amma's safety as the crowds tried to push forward to reach

her. Even Amma was worried and kept making announcements on the microphone

up until probably 3am to ask them to settle down or she would leave without

finishing darshan.

At the lunch stop the following day Amma talked to us about the event and

gave us her opinion on it. She said She had never witnessed such a crowd

either...that the locals even sat in the Prime Minister's chair and he had

to sit on a mat! There seemed to be a sense of disrespect or oblivion, I am

not sure. Amma believes the crowds were so rowdy for they had never received

one on one attention from a Mahatma before. They may have received darshan

from afar before, but not where they get such an intimate moment of their

own with a guide such as Amma. She also did not think they understood the

token systema nd believed that because they had a token, regardless if it

was number 90,000...they figured the could just go to the stage. Imagine

that many people charging the stage for first darshan! It was insane, truly

insane, but Amma sharing Her take ont he event really taught me once again

to be compassionate for those around me, to find the love and light within

them, and to not pass judgements.

There were so many beautiful moments, so many challenging moments, so many

opportunities to grow. I feel truly fortunate to have been able to go on

the tour...would I do it again? I don't know about that one...time will

tell. I don't know if I am a multi-timer like Komala and Rhunganath.

There is an overall summary of the tour at:

http://www.amritapuri.org/news.php if you are interested. I have not had

time to go through it, but I think it is supposed to be pretty good.

I am excited to be home and excited to see all of you again.

Aum,

Kerry (Daya Devi)
