Little Story from Australia

Hi all,

Having a great time in Australia. Last night was DB in Sydney. By the end

there were only about 200 people there, including tour staff. It was over

around 4:30 a.m. Amma wore a green sari with gold trim.

Some friends, a couple, are doing this tour, too. One night at

their mutual darshan,

Amma handed the man an apple. His wife assumed they'd be sharing

the apple. Later, in their hotel room, she spied the core of the already-

eaten apple and exclaimed, "You ate it by yourself?" "Yeah, it was

the worst apple I ever tasted," said the husband. The wife wasn't angry,

but was a little taken aback that her husband hadn't shared Amma's

gift from their darshan together. So the next time the couple went

for darshan, Amma started laughing and talking to the people around

her. The interpreter explained that Amma was exclaiming, "He ate

the whole apple by himself!" The man's comment was, "I can't

get away with anything. It's like she's peeping through the

keyhole of the hotel room!"

On to Brisbane today!

Love,

Jyotsna

Dear Jyotsna:

This post is like a postcard from a friend.

I hope Sara from Iceland read this.

It is extremely sweet of you to give us

this spiritual travelogue.

I am grateful.

The Grace of the Guru keeps us

in touch. She must be aware of

our need to vicariously be on tour.

Who knows.

At any event you are being a sweet

instrument of our mutual Mother.

Thank you Thank you .
