Amma has told us to focus on the Jyoti within. Do we obey? I sure try not to. We want to touch Her hand! We want to see Her shining transcendental eyes. There is nothing wrong with that. This is better than the general public (as it were) But to the Ashramites Amma gives a schematic diagram to Liberation. God is spirit Amma instructs the deluded child. Do not seek Children - See! See Clearly. No? See? See what? Where? Amma is inside our Heart. We do not have to fly to Australia and pay thousands. We do not need to buy a flat at Amritapuri for a fleeting glance. To quote Kathy Zavada: I'M RIGHT HERE. Dear GeorgeSon ~ what a lovely and very clear account. We can "see" Amma at any time. It is mostly a matter of changing our perspective from rational, "out there" perception to intuitive, internally visualizing perspective. Of course, in this manner, we are "seeing" with our inner eyes, but we were given that capacity for a reason. This in no way discounts those experiences where Amma has physically appeared to people far away from where She actually was at the time. Recently, while lying sick in bed, with my eyes closed, I "saw" Kali. Actually it was my "Desert Kali" because I had been having images of this for some time. Then the image split into a kind of open circle of which radiated almond-like shapes. Each of the "almonds" had a piece of the initial Kali image, as though She were both hiding and revealing Herself at the same time. Then I began to see other almond shapes behind or on top of the original almonds. These had the other Goddesses. And as the almonds began to whirl, it was like the Goddesses were all doing this, "now you see me, now you don't" dance. It was incredible. So maybe this will be my next drawing. I think the Goddesses gave it to me. I imagine doing a drawing of Kali (and then of the others, of course) and then copying it and cutting it into the almond shapes to see what it looks like to put them together. It was such a beautiful sharing of the Goddesses. Jai all the Goddesses ~ Linda
