Dear ecjensen ~ once again a heartfelt thank you for posting these words of

Amma, which seem to echo what Rachel quoted. Even though I have left the Devi

Mandir group, much of what I learned there stays with me, and of all that I

learned, it was the love of the Cosmic Divine Mother. I will probably still

recite the Chandi Path, which is so wonderful, and I'm sure Amma must know of

it, and the most recent book I purchased, the Cosmic Puja, which is also a

worship of the Divine Mother.

 

There is a wonderful part in the Chandi where all the Goddesses ~ primarily

Kali, Laksmi, Saraswati ~ join Durga to fight the Great Ego and the Army of

Negative Thoughts. The chapter starts out describing the "Armor of the

Goddess," but then proceeds to narrate how all the Goddesses are our very

armor. It

is very specific; they stand around us in all directions; they protect every

part of our body, even our eyelids and our teeth and toenails. It is quite

awesome to contemplate this level of protection, and I know that Amma, Herself

being all the Goddesses, protects us just the same.

 

If anyone would like me to quote some of this chapter or post it in the

Files section, please let me know. It is quite comforting to read when feeling
