Dear Expressions of the Divine,

a friend emailed me this from Melbourne, and gave permission for

me to post it on our List. My friend wishes to remain anonymous,

and not to have his/her personal name attached with this

small story from Australia.

A Small Experience in Melbourne...

Who is to say how all the constantly changing puzzle pieces

around Amma fit together? Last night alone in my room I

was experiencing some quesions of a doubting nature. What

it all came down to, I decided, was the need to have faith in

Amma. Easier said than done for this child....

Then today I planned on being just a little late to the morning

program. On the way to the hall an acquaintance who

wanted a favor from me caught up with me, and I agreed to

do what she wanted, though not without some trepidation.

To our surprise when we arrived at the hall, Amma had not

yet arrived. (Crowds are so small here that it's almost

impossible to tell without asking.) This lady said she wanted

so much to see Pada Puja and I thought to myself, "I

just want to touch Her hand."

As we were taking off our shoes she commented on how

well I was getting along with my sore knee. (I was in a

wheelchair three days before leaving the U.S.) Uncharacteristically

for the quiet person I normally am, I shouted out, "You just

have to have FAITH!" As I said it we turned and were shocked

to see Amma in her blinding white garments had just entered

the hall right behind us. My acquaintance squealed outwardly

(and I squealed inwardly) and Amma giggled at us and

motioned to us. We ran towards Her and Amma deliberately

held her hand backwards toward me so I could touch it. Then

my friend ran upstairs for the pada puja while I gratefully and

prayerfully kissed my hand where Amma had touched it.

Was it a coincidence that I was thinking about faith last night

in my room and then unwittingly shouted the words out right

in front of an amused Amma? Was it a coincidence that this

experience happened partly because I was trying to do a good

thing for another devotee? Was it a coincidence that Amma

held her arm far back so I could touch it after I inwardly said

all that I wanted was to touch Her hand? It's all "Amma

Magic" to me!

Love from Melbourne,

OM NAMAH SHIVAYA!

The story gave me goose bumps. No, really.

This brought back the Amma experience big time.

I felt like it was tour for me hearing this account.

It seems eerily authentic. Amma is synchronicity itself.

Hare Hare.

Om MA. Oh MAAA!!!
