Guest guest
It's their actions that affect the satsang that's in question. To repeat myself: We're not talking about the tour, we're not talking about how nice people are, or how various programs go (Dayamrita visits, etc.): I'm talking about normal, regular satsang (mostly). If you haven't been a regular attendant at the satsangs, how can you express your opinion on the matter? It's the difference between gets "props"/nods from MAC and actually serving the little folk. And as I had said a long time ago, someone with lots of good fortune, who can do without good satsang (those who can afford regular trips to Amma out of state, etc), certainly will be pleased with the current satsangs. It's why I haven't cursed them to close down like the unofficial SSB group. At least the Amma satsangs aren't spewing blatant misinformation like that group did, and the manipulation at the SSB group was more directly felt, and after several attempts by many members to improve things. The host of that SSB group suddenly decided to close it down a month after I gave the blessing... (In this case, the blessing was, "If this satsang exists only to increase Ignorance, and cause more harm than good, then let it close down!") I'm talking about SERVING ALL, regardless of income or loyalty (politics), or level of sadhana, at the regular satsangs. MAHAMUNI WROTE:"regarding feces and its associated nomenclature, etc. Is this just some weird fetish of yours?" Even Amma's words can seem harsh to "worldly folk". In the Awaken Children books, does she not compare something to Dog Excrement? Can't remember if it was material wealth or pleasures. MAHAMUNI WROTE: "You couldn't find better people than Padmini, Raj and Ken. They certainly worked tirelessly at the last D.C. programs and were exceptional to all of us helping out and traveling with the Tour." Actually, I'm sure you could find better people than these. Many people have worked "tirelessly" at Amma's programs, please don't insult the many sevites by using this as your criteria. When you are in a position to never be questioned or criticized, you can not grow, because it allows you to be the lord of your own world. tom
Guest guest
The key point would be then, what percentage of people in the D.C area are at least happy enough with the Satsang(s) offered, and how many are not. Its practically impossible to please everyone all the time, so this would be a good question. But I doubt you are in a position to give a truthful answer to this. I don't feel the need to get into another debate with you over this. Your view is clear and I would imagine mine is as well. Saying that "Even Amma's words can seem harsh to "worldly folk", has nothing to do with giving you license to speak/write this way about others. While "vedantically" you and Amma are One, in every other sense, you are not where Amma is at and you are not the Satguru here. Having some financial flow in one's life certainly doesn't make you automatically happy with the state of your home satsang. Many people only get to see Amma a little bit out of the year, even if they do come to one of the Nov. stops and some of the Summer Tour stops. But what about the other 9-10+ months of the year? It is Satsang that keeps many of these people focused and helps them to feel/stay connected to Amma. You said: "It's why I haven't cursed them to close down like the unofficial SSB group" and "The host of that SSB group suddenly decided to close it down a month after I gave the blessing" What kind of megalomania is this? As if you are some great Tantrik Baba living at your dhuni in the Himalaya, where lines of devotees come to seek your blessings and all the other villagers fear your curse. Are you really for real with all this? I really feel bad for your current mental state. I know many here send their prayers and well wishes for you to get better, including me. And while maybe you could find others as able and giving as Padmini, Raj and Ken, you won't find any better IMHO. But even if there were people a little better, whatever that would mean (as I don't see how one could judge such things or what criteria you could base it on), they are certainly incredible enough. But you don't have to agree... And who said others didn't work tirelessly at Amma's programs or in the all that went on to make those programs happen and be as smooth and successful as they were? I was simply commenting on my experience with them and others comments about them echoing the same who were there and interacting with them as well as in a position to observe quite a bit. Were you there and in that position? I don't recall seeing you there this year, but I could be wrong. I certainly didn't know everyone's names, or could remember them even if I did at that time. Everyone is always in a position to be questioned or criticized. This does not necessarily make you grow or not and even if you weren't in that position you could still grow by other means. Jai Maa!
