Innocent Desire SEVA ( some changes )

Om Namah Sivaya, Children of Amma,

 

I would like to share with you a very exciting SEVA opportunity

inspired by an Innocent Desire of a devotee of Amma, Temba Spirits.

 

Temba's life started in the ghettos of Chicago including gangs,

drugs, homelessness, a bullet in his chest( still embedded close to

his heart ) and then prison. But before prison, Temba met Amma and

his heart opened in an amazing way. In Prison he read the entire ten

volumes of "Awaken Children" at least twice.

 

And contemplating Amma's Teachings, other prisoners around Temba were

being inspired in a very innocent, spontaneous and invisible way.

Somehow hearts were being opened to Amma's Love.

Temba feels that the prison actually saved his life. When he met Amma

again, he was feeling very deeply the desire for others (especially

the youth in similar life circumstances as his own ) to have the

blessings of meeting Amma, being hugged by Amma and to have their

lives changed for the better as his was.

 

This feeling was so strong that Amma responded with a sankalpa

"YOUR INNOCENT DESIRE WILL HAPPEN IN TIME."

 

So, now it is happening. After discussing this with Swami Dayamrita

and getting his blessings, Temba started meeting with youth

organizations and the response is phenomenal. Two groups of young

artists are in the process of drawing and painting large wall Murals.

One, in Temba's words: "through Amma's grace, right smack on the

Westside Ghetto of Chicago." Temba is presently at the San Ramon

ashram meeting with youth groups in the area and also taking pictures

of the progress on Amma's Mural in the Ghetto of Richmond, Ca.

Linda ) remarked: "... just imagine these murals spreading all around

the country, and with local artists, devotees and children helping to

paint them."

 

Temba is arranging for many youths to come see Amma this summer.

 

Seva opportunities are in providing, driving, and/or donating money

to rent extra Vans. The more Vans we can provide the more young

people can come to see Amma.

 

Also, Temba would like to provide free lunches as Amma does in India

for thousands who come for Her hugs; or just to catch a glimpse of

Her as the crowds can get into hundred of thousands in India.

Compared to the Indian crowds we are talking about relatively small

numbers. But then who knows what will happen. It's all up to us ~ to

the Amma God in us.
