Guest guest
"Be not enchanted with praises, nor let there be words that offend you." Come Children song version III(?) People will always be offended at something, you can't please everyone all the time. That's why practically, you can't use that as moderating criteria. And I'm surprised at how quickly people think that bickering comes from a place of pain, or is a vaasana instead of looking at the facts: seeking truth or "exposing truth" of a matter is not coming from a place of pain or a vaasana. I don't name call without facts to back it up, although I don't always explain it, because it'd be a very long post. Also, the Dharma of "public" figures such as Dayamrita is to be able to stand up to criticism or praise. Someone with so much power over the satsangs (given willingly or formal) has much more to suffer or gain from each decision, compared to regular folk. It's why they must hold themselves to a higher standard. being holier-than-thou again, tom
