Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya Hare Om Dear Suprita Certainly stupid stuff happens at Satsangs? It is felt that standards for this satsang can appear a bit low. I have assuredly posted material here that could make the movie Dumb and Dumber III. The idea I seem to have poorly conveyed is that Respect for others (whether they be Brahmacharis, Monks, Brahmacharinis, Common Devotees, or struggling often misguided souls like me) is necessary. Respect should be a basic underpinning of all posts. That in effect is respecting Amma. One may think a post idiotic. Does one have to flame and hurt the person? Can one not be a little subtle and challenge the idea and not the Y-Group poster on a personal level? Please do not view this as goody goody nicey nicey. Please do not interpret this notion as new age aerie hullabaloo. Civility anyone? Actually it could be viewed as more than respect and common ettiquete. It is Dharma and how you act/react results in Karma. If someone attacks Amma's North American Chief Administrator I feel that this should not be left unchallenged. A direct disciple of the Guru is very close to the Guru Herself. Some may contend that the Direct Disciple is veritably the Guru Herself in the form or Her organ. It is the Dharma of the Guru's devotee to defend the Guru. Dharma is much higher than ideology or "principle" Many here have called some of our defenses of Dayamrita "bickering". I have heard silly notions like cronyism as well. Defending the Guru is praised in the Vedas and other Vedanta scriptures. Oh I sense it coming. Some will post the Guru needs no defense. Another contention might be who are you a mere ant defending the almighty Guru. Who are You???? I contend that it is Vedic tradition to defend the Guru and it just plain feels right (in consciousness) to not allow the Guru or Her Direct Disciple to be abused without challenge. Is a defense based on dharmic ideals-not bickering. If defendse of the Guru or Her Disciples is called bickering then I will bicker to my death. One of the purposes of this list is to Honor the Guru by talking about Her and Her glories. Occasionally dharmic confrontations cause Bala and others to attempt to correcet Adharma in all of its demonic forms. One can criticise but respect is necessary. Just my two centavos again. Love, GeorgeSon Why should I flame someone here or for that matter anywhere?
