Guest guest
Om Amriteswarye Namaha Dear Brother Tom: You seem to be quite bold in expressing your opinion. Disrespect for a Sanyasin may be unwise from a karmic viewpoint. I attend M.A. Center events regularly so I know Dayamrita in his public and semi-private personae. Issue can be taken with your classifiying Sri Dayamrita as a "worldly newbie" I will dissect this phrase. WORLDLY? Dayamrita is a sanyasin. He has renounced the world. Before meeting Amma and before becoming a monk he was a graduate of India's most prestigious film school. Instead of Bollywood glory Amma had him clean cows rear ends and sweep stables. Amma never allowed him to work on video or film despite his demonstrated expertise. What is worldly about working night and day 360 24/7 with no vacations, no overtime no pension etc. You seem to be well versed in Hindu tradition. Have you run across the karmic danger in defaming a Sadhu? Even if you deem him incompetent can you be certain that he is not wearing an orange robe and placed in the position of being a Saint's administrator? Does anyone on this list feel bold enough to take the karmic hit from defaming a sanyasin? NEWBIE? Dayamrita has been a close intimate former live in disciple of Amma since the 1980's. Does a quarter of a century make one a newbie? Please do not take the above as disrespectful toward you, Brother Tomji. If you are a sadhu please do not take offense.
