Lets take a poll:

Should the rule of the group be:

Only positive messages about Ammachi and her disciples, devotees are allowed on

this board, please respect these guidelines.

Or should we allow negative comments to be made as well?

You can answer simply "positive only" or "positive and negative", if you like.

Then we can total it up and possibly petition the moderator if it makes sense to

do so.

I submit that "positive" and "negative" are a matter of individual perception.

What makes a person/situation/statement a "positive" or "negative" experience

is, to me, in the way we react or don't react to it.

If I had my choice, I would ask that those who post to this list be, in their

hearts, sincere spiritual aspirants who have been touched in some way by our

Amma. Then let each speak freely, and let us choose as individuals whether to

react or not.

This whole issue would probably have died out long ago if the flames hadn't

been fanned in the first place. Let us allow our fellow members to speak from

their hearts and not promote an environment of censorship. The whole concept of

"Only positive messages" strikes me as rather manipulative. On this path,

questions come up, feelings are hurt, our egos are brought right up to the

surface and rubbed in our faces. Instead of seeking to control our fellow

devotees, which is the heart of Tom's original complaint, let us offer our

blessings and choose not to react.

I would like to see this forum be "devotional and inspirational".

Let the complainers post on the "free speech forum" since that is

available.

I certainly feel that remarks that denigrate Amma and her chosen

companions and sevaks do not belong on this forum. As a swami I know

says "respect is the mark of a true sadhu". It is a basic part of

sadhana to treat all (not just the Guru and the swamis and

brahmachari's ) with respect.

Perhaps we need to grow into that aspect of spiritual life. But I feel

that it is a worthy goal.

Om Namah Shivaya:

I bow down to the Children of the Divine.

IMHO the words positive and negative need to be taken

off the petition.

If this were a true satsang (Amma says this very

group is so some can take it on Faith) then the conduct

appropriateto a normal local satsang

could be propitiated.

For example would the eg Taos New Mexico Satsang or

eg. Boulder Colorado Ammachi Satsang allow a

member to openly and in full view of all

the members speak ina disparaging manner

about a Swami or Brahmachari.

If it were allowed what would the

effect be. People come to weekly

Satsangs to find a place to

be at Peace and offer devotion

to the Guru. The food fights

on CNN and Fox News have a place.

Talk Radio has Bush bashers

and Bush apologists etc.

But this is a place for vasana

reducing not vasana enhancement.

Would a local Ammachi Satsang encourage

flaming on its email Satsang list?

For that matter leave aside titles like Swamini/Brahmachari

etc.. - would a local Satsang allow disrespectful acid

toned exchanges in front of Amma's alter?

This may not be the right medium

for freeform wideopen outspokeness.

We are here to deepen our

Sadhana collectively. Controversy and flaming

are finein a proper time and a proper place.

The downside is that these modalities

further agitate the already hypersensitive

minds equilibrium.

For example if I am invited to a Funeral could

I bring a boombox blasting hardcore hip hop?.

Well this is America/Canada (fill in the

democracy) isnt it?. Can one not exercise

free speech by blasting gangsta hip hop during

Amma's Atma Puja pre-Devi Bhava.

No censorship eh?

Allow another example.

I am attending a lecture by the Dalai Lama.

Can I scream pro-Bejing epithets there?

or

At a up-scale restaurant does one fart real loud.

Laugh okay. A little humor might take off some

of the edge - Are your guys laughing

with me or against me? Oh well.

The point is this:

In a Satsang two basic rules need to be

honored.

1) Respect

2) Dharma.

With Love,

to all the beloved darling children and of AMMA.the beautiful thing is that

HER LOVE for us is never tampered with.AMMAs LOVE FOR US IS NEVER

TAINTED.that is what AMMA has revealed to this child through all of this.

today this child in the streets of Oakland cailfornia was blessed to hug

one of AMMAs homeless children.his name was rick and he was about 65.AMMAs

sun hugged him and he hugged this child.AMMAs sun gave him a flier inviting

him to AMMAs DARSHAN and also left him with a picture of OUR BELOVED MOTHER.

rick lives at the Oakland army winter shelter.he was so open hearted .his

close were dirty but his heart was clean.AMMA gave this chiild Darshan

through his dirty clothing as this child invited him to recieve DARSHAN from

his AMMA.

in june we will through AMMAs GRACE bring a couple of vans to this shelter

to pick up HER CHILDREN for DARSHAN.this sacred responsiblity SHE has placed

in this lap.what freedom it is to be able to serve.

while we waste energy debating about nonsense, our blessings to serve go

right by us.once a moment is gone ,it is gone.people are DYING and starving

and LONELY.there is a child with h.i.v starving that is sleeping in a

cardboard box.consider this when these pointless debates take place.

ALL my life AMMAs sun has taken life for granted and then wondered why i

kept bumping my head.AMMAs sun cannot change any of you ,he can but change

his view of YOU.you are all AMMAs darling children and that, you ,nor i, can

never change.

yesterday AMMAs sun walked through the streets of san francisco and there

are hundreds of AMMAs children out there that are destitute and hurting

deeply.ALL he can think to do is to help them somehow some way.

oh yeah.yesterday AMMAs sun went to OMEGA BOYS CLUB and met 100 of AMMAs

african american children and DR.marshall. it was awsome.it has been

confirmed .we will be announcing AMMAs coing to 300,000 .in a week and a

half AMMAs sun is going back to speak to the kids about his life and AMMA IN

his life.

we will donate a huge picture of AMMA that DR.marshall will place on the

wall, along with awaken children books to go on the clubs book shelf.\

some of the kids want to help AMMAs sun organize the trip to see AMMA in

june.when AMMAs sun goes back in two weeks to speak, a devotee has agreed to

come that will take pictures.

AMMAs sun has nothing, nor does he own anything, but through this,SHE has

given this lost child everything. sincerley, your innocent desire
