Namah Shivaya all,

i thought i would send you all an Amritapuri update later, but all this

nonsense being talked against Dayamrita swami makes me open my mouth now.

Dayamrita Swami is a wonderful humble man whom I have had the privilege and

pleasure of knowing for several years. He is not, as Tom so arrogantly puts, a

"wordly newbie".. i wonder where you get off insulting a sincere servant of

Amma like this.

I have seen him spend many sleepless nights working for the ashram and Amma. I

have seen him personally go out of his way to call up devotees who are having

problems etc and counsel them. Please dont say such things in a public forum ,

when he is not aware of this.

Coming to Ganesha and Guru-Both the Lord and the Satguru are initiators on

the spiritual path. The Guru is none but Ganesha in human form. This is why

those who have a Guru start their prayers with a prayer to the Guru, and

generally those who dont relate to a Satguru, start with Ganesha. Thats simple

enough isnt it?

In most satsangs they follow this. In austin, as nandu said, they start with

Ganesha- because thats a habit that I had while I lived in austin and when we

started the austin satsang, we used to sing Ganesha bhajans first , so the habit

stuck.

It doesnt matter at all, if you sing Ganesha or Guru-both start you on the

spiritual path and both are same.

Om Amma
