Guest guest
What's wrong with honesty and truth? While you may not be the head of Dayamrita's fan club, he's a fellow sadhak like anyone else and needs to be exposed to the truth. If he's as great as you all claim, he can handle it, believe me. Part of the appeal of Dayamrita, that most won't admit to, is that he has "direct access" to Amma, the way a celebrities's friends are always shown and quoted on shows/articles. The Mahishaasura Mardini Stotram is about Durga fighting the Buffalo Demon (Second Episode of Chandi/chapters 2,3,4,). In this fight, the Buffalo (the ego) is a shape shifter. The buffalo-personality gets humbled to the Lion-personality, down to the human, and then back up again thru the stages to be defeated. (you have to be familiar with the story to understand). If you all respect Dayamrita, you'll stop defending his human side so the real battle can be continued and the goal achieved. I did at least use "I personally" when I gave my opinion about him. Believe me, I know he knows about me. It doesn't phase me a bit. Someone with so much power, affecting so many should be more discriminating in his actions. > Also everyone is worthy of the term "ji", IMHO. This reminds me of someone who always says, "In India, they believe anyone who's 'on the path' to be a saint" whenever I mention a saint. Time will show Dayamrita's status has only been held aloft by fans' beliefs, not reality. Time will tell the truth"-- should not be made? This isn't the free speech zone. While I certainly am not the head of Dayamrita's fan club, Amma certainly has praised him many times in public, and still keeps him running things. There is no reason to state things in such terms. If you absolutely feel you can not refrain from stating something not positive about him or anyone else, at least try to find nicer words and/or a nicer way of doing it. He certainly does try to serve Amma the best he can, as do many others. He has more on his plate than you know of. This is also not the first time you have said negative things about the Swamis in general. > > Why do you harbor so much anger and negativity? Guest guest
Nothing wrong with honesty and truth, but again, who are you to state this type of "truth" about someone else? How does it really help anyone? Again, it is totally okay and fine for you to feel the way you do and have your own opinions. But to express them publically in a forum like this is not appropriate. At least only do it in the free speech zone group, if you insist on expressing yourself in this way. I have had my own positive and not so positive experiences with Dayamrita, but I would never state the type of things you stated, and especially not in this forum. Not only because it does not help to speak in this way about someone else, but how about just simple, old fashioned respect. If one hasn't even learned respect, how can they advance in spiritual life?
