Guest guest
I know I have made my share of stupid comments on this list. But it seems that this list has been all about bickering between someone or other off and on for a long time. The thing is, if you haven't noticed, when we respond to people who make abrasive, angry comments, it just keeps them going. Not to point fingers, but Mahamuni, you have had many lively debates with Tom. Many years ago there was another list, the Amma-l, which fell apart because of bickering. Many very sweet people left the list as a result, and the list fell apart. I haven't read this list much lately because I don't want to read arguments, or debates. I can watch TV or read a newspaper to find debates and bad news. There is another Ammachi forum for debating, and folks can say whatever they want. There are honestly nicer places to be. In the words of, I think Rodney King "can't we all just get along?" Jai Ma! Prasadini Mahamuni wrote: > Why should all of us have to go for the sake of one person? Guest guest
I agree Prasadini. My "lively debates" with Tom have always resulted from either really rude comments he has made towards others or even whole groups of people, or very misleading statments he was making that may have given new people a very wrong impression. I wanted to make sure that a different perspective was known. Actually sometimes it is right to respond to people making comments like this and to stand up for things. Amma has personally affirmed this to me on more than one occasion. I am sorry but I am not going to listen to someone unnecessarily insult Dayamritaji here on this public Amma forum for no good reason. If you want to not respond to him, I certainly respect your right not too. I kept quiet for a long time regarding Tom's posts. I truthfully don't read many of the posts here or get too involved in most of the "debates". But when Tom compared a whole group of devotees to pigs wallowing in their own excrement, that drew the line for me. Linda once told me that there are hundreds of people on this list. Who knows how many new people are amongst them, maybe even people that have never met Amma. I wanted them to know that there are many great Satsangs around the country, even the D.C. one. None are perfect, but that is how it goes. The same power struggles, etc., take place with a few people around Amma everywhere She is. So what. Let those people go through that if that is their thing. Smart people stay away from such things. Anyway I've said enough and as I've said in the past, I am sorry if my tone seems to harsh or if it has offended anyone else. As Amma said to my wife the last time we had darshan, "His name is Surya. Sometimes he gets hot". Jai Maa! Surya - Prasadini Ammachi Sunday, March 12, 2006 10:51 PM Re: To Mahamuni I know I have made my share of stupid comments on this list.
