Guest guest
My point was that Dayamrita was "forcing" one tradition over another without saying it was so. That is, he should have said something like "There are 2 different approaches, and I'd like the satsangs to do Amma's bhajan first". Having re-organizing meetings (after several people complained to him and he finally talked to Amma about) was the chance to find out what the problems were at the satsangs, but I'll stop repeating myself since most people here feel that since Amma put him in charge, he's now on the Infallible list, learning by magical intervention. There are 2 different demographics as I had said: Those that see Amma as their personal guru in the Hindu-guru tradition, and those that see her as Devi or a holy person. By alternating the focus (Amma one night, Devi the next), you're still "being true" to Amma and the principle of satsang. And it serves more devotees. Very much like a regular darshan and Devi Bhava. What would happen if they stopped Devi Bhava and only had regular darshan? tom "You can call a dog a dog, but calling a fool a fool, well that's just being judgemental" ;-)
Guest guest
No, i don't think that is right, and it has nothing to do with infallibility. Sw. Paramatmananada also started with Guru bhajans most of the time. So what? It's all good. Guest guest
This was a specific question from a person who would later be secretly appointed co-head of the DC area satsangs, at a re- organizational meeting. Yes, it does, as anything he says or does is (in all practical reality) treated as Infallible. It was more than just that one "secretive action" that's caused problems and turned people away with this kind of cult-like behavior. I've heard many a time: If it's allowed to happen, it must me Amma's will. MY QUESTION AGAIN: For those "badge holders" who enjoy this quality of Unquestionable Actions, how can they learn if they're never wrong? Swami P was the current head of an ashram, that means his choice of Guru Bhajan first is not only obvious, but his dharma. Local satsang dharma is different, just like states in the US need a certain amount of their own power because not all geographies and peoples can be ruled effectively by complete federal power. No comments from the peanut gallery, thanks, tom Ammachi, Max Dashu <maxdashu wrote: > > No, i don't think that is right, and it has nothing to do with infallibility. > Sw.
