Guest guest
I was talking about the real/standard Devi 108, not the Devi 108 that the Ammachi satsangs started off with many years ago. And to my knowledge, it's not the 'best' names from the LS, it's obviously all the short names. Early Amma devotees, and even now, and usually new to this type of chanting. And BTW, they only call it "Atma Puja" for the same reason people are attracted to Vedanta: a strong ego will certainly not worship anyone but itself. This approach makes it easier to digest for the general public. I wouldn't agree it's the LCD approach. tom Ammachi, "manoj_menon" <ammademon wrote: > > I think Tom's talking of the standard Devi 108 , not the 108 off of > the LS that we use for Atma puja. Guest guest
There is/are no 'best' name(s); 'best' was used in the sense of the names with which most people would easily connect to the worship without losing interest (because the names were simple more rhythmic). LCD was for the whole LS; not this or any 108. I think it is. Guest guest
OK, well I agree it was the short names, as this was easiest for people. All Her names are the Best names, IMHO. They switched the name in public from Devi Puja to Atma Puja not for the exact reason you are stating, but to make it more non-sectarian so to speak. - Tom Ammachi Wednesday, March 08, 2006 10:03 AM Re: Devi 108 I was talking about the real/standard Devi 108, not the Devi 108 that the Ammachi satsangs started off with many years ago.
