Guest guest
Hi, As some of you may recall, it was posted on this list that President Bush would not visit Gandhi's grave because he did not believe in cremation. This created much more heat than light on this list. So from today's news: Bush's day included a visit to the site where M.K. Gandhi, India's independence leader, was cremated in 1948. It ended at a state dinner with Indian President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam under a crescent moon in a lush courtyard at the presidential palace. Waiters in red tunics and red-and-white turbans scurried about after toasts of mango juice by the two heads of state. One must always becareful what news sources to believe. Many jounalists unfortunatley write things deliberately designed to anger foster anger and frustration, rather than getting their facts straight. Sincerely, Jyotsna
