Guest guest
Dear group, There is no easy way to say this, but at the end of this quarter (3/26) I will need to resign from coordinating the prayer list. It has been a wonderful experience, and my heart has been touched in so many ways by this seva. I hope that someone will step forward and volunteer to take over coordinating the prayer seva. Believe me, you get more than you put in. I am growing sicker, and find that I am having difficulty keeping up with the digests, and there are other reasons that I will share with the group at some point. In the meantime, if anyone is interested in coordinating the prayer list, please let me know, on or off-digest. I will be happy to walk you through the way I have done it, and I realize that each new person that coordinates the list will have her or his own special way of doing it, and that will only add to the richness of the experience for everyone. Blessings to all ~ Linda
Guest guest
Namah Shivaya :Linda, So sorry that you are sicker and can no longer coordinate the prayer list. Thank you so much for doing so, it is a wonderful thing. I would love to do it, but am in the same boat you are in. One thing that has fallen by the wayside in my illness is the ability to organize, especially anything close to paperwork. To manage a list of this size is a daunting task for me. Many years ago an eminent physician and researcher said that the brain uses a huge percentage of our energy, now I can't remember how much, but certainly using my brain makes me tired! I know it sounds silly to a healthy person. Yesterday as I was reading the names on the list I was so touched by how many people from the list and those we know are going through difficulties - some very overwhelming. For this reason I pray that someone else can do it. Thanks again for your wonderful and dedicated seva.
