Guest guest
Hi, I'm kind of shy and for other reasons (time as well- I go to school full time and work full time- I don't regularly attend weekly satsang. I do try to attend at least a few public programs when Mother comes to the U.S. and many times have saved my money and gone to a retreat or two. Whenever I have attended satsangs I have at least attempted to have my focus on meditation, singing and my trying to be kind and welcoming rather than on what everyone else is doing. I have usually felt welcome, but I do agree sometimes, like in any human group (and sometimes I think in spiritual groups our stuff only comes up more!) there is gossip, exclusion, in-crowd ploitics, etc. For me satsang is not just about my truth above all others, but about at least trying to share truth with others, speaking and listening with kindness, not perfectly, but at least trying. Sometimes my temper gets the best of me too! So, I am one of "those people" who doesn't attend weekly satsang and who mainly sees Amma on tour. I'm not rich although I wouldn't mind prospering, I'm not a big meanie (most of the time!) and I try to spread the essence of what Amma teaches wherever I am. This group even though I rarely speak, is one of my"satsangs". with lots of love for all, Upasana
