In view of what I have undergone with my family, I have been thinking of myself as naive and even stupid. Sometimes I am not very kind to myself. I'm glad you talked about the hyperventalitation aspect of this technique. This immediately puts a big red circle around Ravi Shankar's name, with a big red slash through it..."Linda, Stay Away..." I have always had a tendency to hyperventilate or, on the other side to hold my breath, and I still struggle at times to breathe "normally." Hyperventilation is very bad for me because it can lead to a panic attack or accompany one. Whenever I have done TM, it has been a very gentle, subtle process, very natural, and I never had any trouble with either hyperventilation or holding my breath. I will stay away from this. Thanks for looking out for me, Amarnath. Blessings ~ Linda
