At a public reception given to her during the first part of the two-day "Amrita Sangama 2006" which began here, Mata Amritanandamayi said that sincere prayer opens up the direct route to the God. When it is coupled with love and peace, its value has no bounds, she said. She said that heart and mind will be at ease if one surrenders to the Almighty. All apprehensions, threats and fear will vanish. Such persons will be able to do any work without fear and climb the rungs of success without any hindrance, she said. Mata Amritanandamayi said there was nothing to be afraid of in this world. One should face the difficulties with courage and determination. The former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda received blessings from Mata Amritanandamayi. Love for people Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Deve Gowda said Mata Amritanandamayi has a tremendous strength of bhakti on her side and unfathomable love for people. Mata Amritanandamayi's teachings and way of life are guiding him, he added. Elaborate arrangements A large number of people from neighbouring districts and Kerala are participating in "Amrita Sangama 2006" at the Mangala Stadium here. Elaborate arrangements have been made for the two-day event. Special buses are being run for the benefit of those attending the event.
