Dear menoj ~ I'm glad I got mixed up because I found out about the other Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. I am even more interested to know that he started off with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. My first encounter with actual practice was TM. I do the same ... as you mentioned above, and I'm very interested to learn more of the art of living Ravi Shankar. Thanks ~ Linda

Thanks ~ Linda Hi Linda, AOL (Art-of-living, not America Online!) has a huge following in the US, and many many countries around the world. Sri Sri makes frequent trips to the US too, but the Sudarshana Kriya (which is what you are more interested in, I presume) is also offered regularly throughout the year. I check the AOL website and there are 5 cities in NM (where you live) where there are contact people. If you are interested, you may get in touch with them .... I have deliberately not put the URL here. I perceive that many of you are surprised to not know of him at all, forget his org. When I learned of him and his reach, I was equally surprised and wondered why I had not heard of him before! maybe that's part of the charm. An interesting aside ... someone once told me that a lot of Amma devotees asked Amma if they could do the Sudarshana Kriya program under Sri Sri as they heard reports that it was very effective. Amma told them that it was better to keep both your feet in one boat rather than 1 foot in a boat (meaning, either be here or be there; don't mix and manage for your own good). When quite a few folks asked this over and over again, it was then that Amma decided to release the IAM technique to assuage the desire of some devotees to contemplate more using a formal practice. The way I look at it, Amma tries to keep it simple for us all. But sometimes we want more ..... wonder what more rich secrets She has and when they will be shown to us! Jai Ma! Guest guest
I taught several of his devotees here in the SF Bay Area Sanskrit at one time. They were not allowed to listen to anyone other than Ravi Shankar. Also, they didn't want me to even join them for bhajans unles I was "serious" about taking the Art of Living course. I went to see him when he was here locally and I was not impressed at all. When I went to Kerala I was amazed to see his posters everywhere. I had thought his American devotees were simply naive.
