Guest guest
nama shivaya... though i don't always chime in i really get a lot out of many of the discussions on this list... the story you told, temba, about the man in jail who was angry and who became an Amma devotee is so beautiful...and the people at work who were laughing at the video..isn't it true, we should accept all the mocking because it is a way of reaching out, surely Amma Herself would accept someone mocking Her, it means She struck a cord for them..She would probably join in with the laughing, maybe they themselves were ridiculed once and internally have to squash all things tender...so they mock...i know this hits home because a lot of us have families that criticise and laugh at our spiritual practices...let them, they are in a stage of figuring things out... moments of silence...i experience it so rarely...but i know my mind needs it.. i have a Amma quote that perplexes me above my bed " God Himself will be the servant of the person who has gained one-pointedness of mind. Mother guarantees this. Try and see what happens." what is one pointedness of mind? nama shivaya, dana -- "Love and beauty are within you.
