Guest guest
The Inner Amma is the Silence and Stillness we feel when we ignore thoughts. When we don't ignore thoughts and express them sometimes they may seem mischievious to some and sattvic to others. It's our perception. om santi, amarnath may all beings everywhere be happy and peaceful !
Guest guest
All the talk about thoughts got me thinking...! now that's something to celebrate..lol..in meditation, through regular practice we can experience the "gap" between thoughts-where thoughts do not exist. The state of nothingness and everythingness perhaps. I don't know what enlightenment really is except that Amma provides glimpses here and there like when time stands completely still and suddenly you have been "gone" somewhere but don't quite know what the place was you visited. Words could not describe it. I remember looking at Her to garland her with some friends and going into a trance. I don't know where I went! Time stood still. > THERE MUST BE OTHERS WHO HAVE AT LEAST GLIMPSED THE STATE OF NO- MIND; > SO COME ON OUT OF THE CLOSET AND SHARE ! > > As far as using CAPS, I never felt the need to apply some internet > standard while reading your beautiful words so filled with Amma's LOVE. > Those who are bothered by the CAPS should look into control issues. > > When I get a chance I'll call; it's been some time since we talked > last; however will be busy for some time more. > > Amma's Blessings, > amarnath > may all beings everywhere be happy and peaceful ! >
Guest guest
Namah Shivaya. Hoping it¹s ok to continue this thread with a quote from Swamini¹s book: ³Women sometimes complain that it seems they have to work so much harder than men. One time I asked Amma about how a woman loses her spiritual energy, as a man may lose his energy through the loss of semen. Amma replied that a woman loses her spiritual energy through her thoughts and emotions. This is why women usually end of having to do more physical work than men, so they can channel their thoughts and emotions into a positive direction rather than losing their mental and emotional strength.² Amme Sharanam. premarupa
