Guest guest
I've just discovered that the CD-Rom for the Lalita Sahasranaam produced by Amma's ashram contains the individuals files that can be converted to MP3. I don't have an Mp3 player, so the stotra files (by line, not by couplet) take up 4 CD disks, and the List form files take up 11 Disks. This is because CD players have only a 2 digit counter limiting the tracks to 99 per disk. My regular CD burning program wouldn't do a direct burn because the files are in a low quality 8-bit mono wav format, so you'll need a separate program to convert them. It helps to pre-make some folders labeled by 99's (1- 99; 100-198, etc.) and to double check the order. For some reason the stotra file 161 was always out of order and moving the files to be burned always put the last one into first place. The folder of list names also contains an extra file (m1-b I think) that is actually not needed, it's the first of the Devi 108 names. The meditation is also broken into 14 separate files, which I placed on the last disk with the 2 bhajans from the CD-Rom, since I've already memorized it. It's really great for learning or just spot-checking your pronunciation of the names, since you can just click back or keep the track on repeat. I don't know about MP3 players, which might allow you to load the entire list and stotra. And here I thought the CD-rom was a rip off, since most of the information was taken from the brown commentary book. tom
