Guest guest
O' Lord Jesus where are you hiding? Cannot find you anywhere For the shouting TV churches Drown Your Silent Love of prayer For the worldly scene of pleasures Surely are not Your fare For the drinking and the gambling Surely are not Your welfare For destruction of those misguided Surely are not Love and Prayer O' Lord Jesus where are you hiding? Cannot find you out there Please reveal Your Place of hiding In the Silence of my prayer For Your Kingdom is within me Love and Kindness are also there But these words are poor expressions Of Compassion and Your Care For Your Acts of Love and Kindness Are the actions we should share amarnath March 1st, 2005

But the very painful truth seems to be that all religions have burdened mankind with various dogmas that have done just the opposite of what religions should do. This is why LIVING Saints like Amma, Karunamayi, Shree Maa, Baba Hari Dass( silent saint ) and many others are indispensable even to understand/love Christ, Krishna, Budha and others. Of course if you have the gift of LOVE and COMPASSION in your heart you can do it all yourself like Peace Pilgrim did. President Thomas Jefferson supposedly edited the New Testament of the Bible( not with word.doc but with scissors ) taking out all words that he felt were not spoken by Jesus Christ. The rest he supposedly meditated on daily. Along these lines, "The Mystic Christ" by Ethan Walker is very good pointing out the dangers of the egoic mind in religion. Long time ago, I heard a very dynamic and inspiring spiritual on TV. One lady (who seemed to stand out as her whole body seemed to be singing / dancing) was interviewed afterwards. She was asked "what do you experience singing and moving so dynamically?" her answer was "INNER SILENCE". I was surprised. I expected her to say Love of God/Jesus. Now, I understand that Silence, God, Love, Jesus, Amma, Krishna, "Peace that passeth all understanding" are all ONE.
