Haha, too cute! I had just sent out a little explanation on the Spanish

being used, LOL. I was curious, though, as to how you knew a bit! ;-)

 

 

 

I have family living way down in the Valley, Weslaco to be exact. Most of

the non-Hispanics in that area speak a lot of Spanish, many of them being

fluent.

I think Weslaco surpasses Tex-Mex, and is nearly purely “Mex”, LOL. Like

most border towns, it’s more infrequent to hear English spoken there than it

is to hear Spanish, or even Spanglish. But I still love it all the same!

(Especially the food… dear God I always gain weight when I go down there,
