Dear Amarnath ~ thank you so much for sharing this "recipe" for spiritual practice. It's wonderful. I can also see how someone like me, who is not well, could so some and leave some out. I love the bowing down part. I love to do that. I even do that outside, bowing down to Mother Earth. When I had a room big enough to do these two things ~ the bowing down and the corpse pose, I loved to do them. I'm not sure there's enough room in the trailer for either though, so I'm glad you added the part about bowing down mentally. I'm going to save this for my fridge and daily reference. As a bit of an aside, I saw my doctor this morning. I have to take my pain meds more often, and I had to get her to re-date and signature my application for a handicapped hanging down thingie for my car. : ( Lately, when I have gone to the grocery store, I have even had trouble just pushing the cart to my car. My doctor originally signed this form last March, almost a year ago. I have put it off that long ... not wanting to acknowledge the reality. So now I have it, and I can part in the handicapped spot, and people will glare at me because my illness is invisible. I am going to try thinking about all of this as tapas because just getting it was so hard (my ego did not want to think it wasn't in complete control of my body), and I know it will be a challenge to use it and take the stares and glares. I will attempt to think of bowing down whenever I am faced with this. Thank you again, Amarnath. You gave me/us a wonderful tool with your spiritual practice steps, and even more in realizing how some of the steps can be used in our everyday experiences that may challenge us.
